Extra Magic Hours Question

Can we leave the park and come back in with an EMH wristband? We would like to spend the day at MK, get our wristbands, leave to eat at O'hana, then go back to MK they day they have evening EMH. There aren't any places in MK that we want to eat dinner. I guess we could eat at 5:00 or 5:30 and make it back in time for park closing at 8:00. Maybe I'm making this too complicated. I'm new to this. We usually don't make reservations before we go, but we have a group of 4 instead of 2 this time. Thanks in advence for your input!

Just get your wristband before you leave or make it back to MK before regular closing to get your band. We have done this many times.

They give out wristbands for EMH up to 2 hours after the park closes to the general public. You can get it on the way out, or wait until you come back, both will work.

Let's say the park closes to the general public at 8 p.m., and is open for EMH until 11 p.m. You can arrive at MK at, for example, 10:30 p.m. and still get in and get a wristband and do a ride or attraction or 2. You DON'T need to enter or re-enter the park before public closing time.

A word of advice, we arrived on Sunday for MK EMH's (Evening) and after coming through the turnstile faced a HUGE line of people waiting to get their wrist bands. I asked one of the CMs working the turnstiles if they had other locations to get the bands and he said each land had a location. So off we went to Tomorrowland. We asked a security officer there where we could get the bands and he pointed us to Space Mt. No lines, no waits, no problems! Walked up, got our wrist bands and headed to the rides!
