Extra Magic Hours, how long?

I was just reading the park hours for my upcoming trip and I saw that it just states either morning or evening extra magic hours, it doesn't state how long they are. Do morning EMH usually just mean the park opens one hour early? Do evening hours mean the park stays open 3 hours later? This seems to be what I remember. Am I remembering correctly? Thanks!
