Extra magic hours details found!

I just got off the phone with WDW info and he said the following:

ee:
MK wed and fri
MGM tues and Sunday
Epcot Mon and Thurs
AK Tues and Sat

He said that they didn't list any "later" hours. but, you must admit the days are NEW and I think the orginal posters CM got it right.

Very interesting...

I've got all the info. Went to my source and printed everything so I knew what was going on.

There will only be 4 days a week with Early hour entry
and
4 evenings a week with late hours.

Mon, Tues, Fri and Sat will be morning EMH (EPCOT, MGM, MK & AK) as I have them listed.

Evening:

Sun., Tues, Wed, Thurs. (MGM, AK, MK, & EPCOT) as I have them listed.

Guest must obtain their wristbands no earlier than 2 hours before closing.

Luvstink: they didn't read the page very well. When they gave you the list, they were giving you the morning and evening. Take a look at mine and you'll see what they gave you. I read the same thing as the CM you spoke with.

I tried to make it easy to understand. Lots of changes over the past couple of days...wow.

February hours are out, and there is no Wishes scheduled on Wednesdays. I think this confirms that the evening EMH at the Magic Kingdom will be Wednesdays.

There are no Spectro Magic Parade listed in the first week or two of Feb. Do ya'll think they just haven't posted them yet?

If you are staying at a Disney hotel, will the late nights be free?

Anyone think that during busy Easter week, they'll open MK early on any other days?

I wonder if this will be adjusted during peak/summer times. I'm especially thinking of 3 extra evening hrs at MK. Isn't it open until 11 or 12 during peak times. They wouldn't keep it open until 3:00 AM would they?

Yes and during holdiay weeks they usually do unofficial early openings based on projected crowd figures.

Hi,

I have not seen the MK scheduled to be open until midnight for many years now. 10pm seems to be the norm recently. The enights would go to 1am.

Just checked WDW site-Spectro is scheduled Mon. 2/7 and thurs 2/10, both evenings at 7:00

Tiffany,

We were there this last Easter - MK was open until midnight. Granted that was on a weekend - not on a Wednesday. Maybe they never would have the park scheduled open until midnight on a Wednesday.

Here's the schedule:

Effective January 2, 2005:

Sunday -- MGM (evening)
Monday -- EPCOT (morning)
Tuesday -- MGM (morning); AK (evening)
Wednesday -- MK (evening)
Thursday -- EPCOT (evening)
Friday -- MK (morning)
Saturday -- AK (morning)

N2MM - looks like you matched the schedule that Mark posted in this string. So I consider that pretty strong confirmation. Now I just have to figure out how to revised my plans.

trstno1: I'm going in Feb also, and, like you, this threw off my PSes. I was able to change them (granted, none are character meals, but one is fantasmic DP). You might be able to, too.

Thanks!!

This actually doesn't mess anything up for me, but I don't get any huge benefit from it, either!

Ditto for me.

Just wanted to add, MK was open till midnight on several days just this past Thanksgiving Holiday - it's a (good) sign that attendance figures are finally bouncing back to pre 9/11 levels I think :)

here is what I got from a concierge planner at BWI... Let's you know what rides are going to be open during the EMH. AT the end of this it also instructs how to get the wristband for EMH-evenings.

Happy planning! :Pinkbounc

Morning Extra Magic Hour occurs one hour prior to regularly scheduled Park opening and you will need to present a valid Key to the World Card at the park's turnstiles. In order to enjoy the Evening Extra Magic Hours, you should obtain a wristband at the theme park by presenting a valid Key to the World Card no sooner than two hours prior to Park close.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if there is anything at all we may assist you with!

Thanks for posting the updated details. We will be there from Jan 22nd through the 28th and this sounds great.

WOW! That's awesome! I just this hour decided to take advantage of the cheap air and fly down for my dd's birthday. We'll only have 2 days in the parks, so this will help tremendously!

I wonder if they will have a set limit on the number of wristbands (i.e. the E-Ride night example) or if it will be as many onsite guests who want them...
Either way, I am still looking forward to it.

No, tiberius, I don't believe that Disney will set limits on the amount of wrist bands that they hand out to resort guests for the EMH nights. E-ride was limited because resort guests had to pay for the perk. EMH is a free perk for all resort guests....which is why I believe it will be fairly crowded. MK in particular will be crowded on those evenings.
