I booked a stay in Disneyland last week. We`re staying at the Sequoia Lodge in July. And I read something about magic hours... How does that work? Do you pay axtra for that? Do you have to order it before you go?

It would have been great to be in the park before "everyone" gets there, to avoid some of the crowd if thats possible.

Does anyone know about that, used it on their vacation?

Anyone staying in the Disneyland Resort is entitled to EMH they are free. You just show your hotel ID when going into the park.

Its really great, Fantasy Land and Discovery Land are open 2 hours earlier with some of there rides for hotel guests only. :)

Hi Njut and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Guests staying at a Disney hotel and Dream annual pass holders are entitled to Extra magic Hour (EMH).
All you will need is your hotel id to gain entry :)

Oh, thats just great. But is there alot of people during magic hours?

Maybe we should go and stand in line for the attractions that don`t have fastpass and have alot of waiting time before 10.00 so we get first in line. Is that a good idea?

Is the armageddon attraction running all day? or just a few times a day? That one does`nt have fastpass?
Can we get a fastpass before the park opens for real? So we don`t have to wait that long?

No you can't get fastpasses during EMH, only after 10, and if the ride is not busy they won't open the fastpass machines

Also, you can't get into Adventureland or frontierland until 10 either, so you wouldn't be able to line up.

Hi,

Since Armageddon is an attraction in Disney Studios, I don't think the
extra hours apply. I'm assuming that Disney Studios is open at 10 am,
and not before.

I could be wrong, though.

When I lined up for that attraction, the wait was not that bad, but
I was there on a Monday. It depends on when you are there, and
what season it is,

During the summer, expect bigger crowds.

WDS studios only opens at 10am, sometimes 9.30am but none of the rides are open till 10am.

But If WDS opens at 9.30 we can go and stand in line before the attraction starts. :)
