This is my third trip to Disney and my first time staying at a Disney resort so I will be able to use the Extra Magic Hours this time. Even then, I'm only planning on going to a park with EMH once in 8 days and that is Magic Kingdom on December 23rd. In the past, if we were at a park with evening EMH, we left when we were supposed to. How do they clear the non resort guests out of the park at midnight? I'm guessing non resort guests will be unable to book fast passes during EMH but I don't see how they could make them leave at midnight.

1. How do they clear the non resort guests out of the park at midnight?
2. I'm guessing non resort guests will be unable to book fast passes during EMH but
3. I don't see how they could make them leave at midnight.

1. No need to "clear" non-WDW Resort guests.

2. NOBODY can book any FP during EMH.
FPs are not used during EMH.

3. Non-WDW Resort guests are allowed to stay in a park during PM EMH.
You didn't need to "leave when you were supposed to."
You could have stayed in that park.

HOWEVER: During PM EMH, guests' MagicBands -or- Park Tickets are scanned by CMs at each ride entrance
and those who were not staying at a WDW resort are not allowed to ride attractions during EMH.

you can not use FP with the EMH before you go on a ride the CM will scan your MB to make sure you are a resort guest other gust are free to walk around shop but they just can not ride the rides

Ok, I wondered how it worked. This will be our first time using the magic bands. Obviously you have to be a resort guest to use the morning EMH.

yes you have to be a resort guest to get in the eary RMH they do not care if you stay late and spend money as a non resort guest

Sorry to jump on this thread, but I had a question......I have a friend joining us for 1 day at HS during an evening EMH. She is staying off-site. I have several extra bands from other trips. If she wears one of my bands (which has my DME linked to it) can she ride any rides with us after EMH hours start??? Do they scan bands at each ride now? Would a CM notice that it's the same account he scanned back to back? I don't actively try to cheat the system, but we have late dinner reservations with her after we leave the park, and I'd feel bad for her standing around not being able to ride rides with us. We aren't staying the whole EMH, only an hour of it before we head to our dinner ADR. I just wanted to be able to ride TOT and RRC with her with lower waits.

1. Not "legally."
2. Very often.
3. Maybe.
4. Sorry, but that is precisely what this would be without putting her on your room reservations,

This sound more like a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween night instead of PM EMH. For hard ticket events, they do try to clear out the parks of non-paying guests by checking for wristbands and guiding them to the exit. For hard ticket nights, they will not let you into store, restaurants, restrooms, or attractions without that nights party wristband.

Yep, that's why I asked for clarification. :thumbsup2
