I have a few questions about Extra Magic Hours at MK.

1) What time do they actually open the park to Resort guests. I hear that they usually open at 7:30, half an hour before the listed EMH time. DO they really open this early?

2) Do they have any characters out in Town Square on Main Street (or anywhere else in the park for that matter) during EMH? Last time I was there all the characters came on the train at opening, but I was wondering if this was done differently during EMH mornings.

I'd like to hear an answer to this one too...
this will be the first time that we plan on taking advantage of the EE

:Pinkbounc 5 more days !!!! :bounce:

hi
i'd also like to hear about ee too,we are thinking of doing this when we go in june 04
also how do you find out when they are doing ee, hopefully it will be the day after we arrive(b/c time differance we will be up early anyway)wouldn't that be great timing:bounce:

Extra Magic Hour starts at 8am. We generally open the turnstiles somewhere between 7:55 and 8:00.
Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open.
Characters are in Town Square throughout the morning (there is no Opening Ceremony show on Sunday or Thursday).

Hope the timing works out for you . . . have fun planning!

We have done the EMH (previously Early Entry) many, many times. We try to do it every day that we are there. We usually do as much as we can at the EE park, then go on to another park when it starts getting crowded. We try to be standing outside the gates by 45 minutes before posted opening and we usually find that the gates open 30 minutes before the posted opening. However, I have to say that the last time we were there was on for 10 days starting September 12, 2001, just after the NYC event, so I'm not sure if they still open that early, with all the new security precautions. We do usually see characters at the entry and sometimes in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, but we usually just rush right past after a brief greeting. We find that it's really worth the extra effort to be there early as the lines are much shorter, and the weather is much nicer.
