I realize this isn't the best place to post this question, but since the Extra Magic Hour only pertains to those staying at a WDW resort, I figure it is appropriate.

My question is Epcot specific. For the extra evening hours, will the 3 hours apply to the usual 7pm closure of Future World or to the after Illuminations closure (usually around 9is) of World Showcase?

Great question...I wondered the same thing!!!

The extra magic hours at EPCOT will start from 9.00pm. When it is extra magic evening hours, you have a set list of open attractions. I'm lucky to tell that I have tested this new system last may. The 3 extra hours in Epcot were mainly concentrated in Future World, with the two boat rides in Mexico and Norway also being open. You were not allowed to walk further then Norway into World showcase. Much attractions in future world were open. Some opened again after being closed from 7pm. Note that the big ones such as Test Track and Mission Space will be open to 9pm every day.
Of course I don't know if much changed to these hours at Epcot, but I think it will be pretty much the same as in the test time.

I was wondering if the International Gateway (back) entrance will be accessible. We will be staying the Beach Club next Chrustmas and we are looking forward to walking. I know they open it in the morning.

I would think they have to make it accessible because I believe there is no bus service to MGM from the BC or back. That would mean you would have to take the bus to the TNT and than take a bus from there to the BC. Wouldn't make any sense. Hope this helps! :flower1:

Thank you so much for the first-hand knowledge!

Do you think it is worth it to go to Epcot (extra 3 hours) on our first night there? We could get to Epcot by around 6:30pm. It will be the only time to take advantage of the extra evening hours. It seems like we could do a lot though that night. Any opinions?
