Extra magic hour at night??

When did/does the experiment with extra magic hour being at the end of the day end? How did people like it? Any info from Disney as to whether or not it will become permanent?

I have not heard any information about the exrta magic pm hours, positive or negative, permanant or not...but I do know that it was only offered in May for all parks. We were there for two weeks in June, and there were no signs of it...
