Extra magic hour at Animal KIngdom question?

I wondered if you would be able to see the animals at night? Are the trails and brush lighted?

When we were at WDW in January, neither Africa nor Asia were open for EMH in the evening. Festival of the Lion King was open, Tough to be a Bug and Dinoland. No Tarzan Rocks on the night we went, but it was open earlier in the month one night.

No attractions involving animals are open on evening EMH. No safari, walking tours, or animal shows. Other than that, pretty much everything else is open.
