Extra laundry soap and other stuff?

We will be going for our first time on Oct 1 and I noticed from the vast amount of pictures that I have come across that you are given some laundry soap (as seen on a picture of the w/d) but it is only enough for one load. If you needed to do some more wash would they give it to you or would you have to buy it? I know that I can buy those tablets for the wash but if I don't have to pay for extra soap, why pack it? Is the same for the dishwasher soap? I have seen posts for cleaning out the whirlpool with the dishwasher soap and that would eat into your supply if it would really be needed for dirty dishes.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks very much.

They will furnish Dawn and DW detergent. After the first packet of tide, you're on your own. I'd buy the tablets and put some dryer sheets in a ziplock bag. They will also furnish soap but will not refill it until T&T day or the full cleaning, at least not without charging you a fee.

I prefer taking my own anyway because of being alergic to many soaps. I usually use liquid laundry detergent and buy a small size bottle that I stick in the suitcase. I just refill it each time we go.

You can buy the soap right where you are staying in the general store--no problem.

the greatest things are the little "blocks" of detergent. I have really sensitive skin and can't use many detergents, but Purex makes some of these and I am fine. They don't take up much space in the suitcase and keep things smelling nice. Use dryer sheets.....less space and great smell!
