Does anyone think there is a chance Disney could cancel the EEMH? I know they have advertised the hell out of it so I certainly hope they wouldn’t. But seeing all of these low times makes me just a bit concerned.

No, I'd say low probability. I predict these low EEMH waits will come in like a lamb and out like a lion as we get into the more crowded fall season. Labor Day and the first 2 weeks of Sept or the lowest crowd times of the year - SWGE or not. They will be more popular as we roll along, in my opinion.

I’ll be shocked if the across the board low times last. They could have offered free admission to the other 3 parks today but that still wouldn’t pull away those who were determined to make it to SWGE specifically at opening on opening day.

100% agree. I actually think the parks will be normal busy by like 2:00 today.

This is all good for me! We are going the September 7-14. Which given the hurricane, crowds and hours seems like a very fortuitous choice now. Back in January when we booked it we had no idea about GE, EEMH or anything obviously. Now we are getting all of that still in a less busy week and looks like we are dodging the hurricane.

Wait times don't look all that bad for opening day.

RnR 30
ToT 60
MFSR 210

I totally agree too. Those low waits at other parks today, is not going to be what it is going forward. I am hoping they stay at least reasonable, but today is not a normal day, nothing today will be able to predict what's coming.

I think today, and probably the next few days, are not going to be indicative of what EEMH looks like for the couple months they’re running them. I’ll be really surprised if things don’t even out a bit. Wait times and FP+ availability have also looked to be really, really good the last few days to begin with.
Totally agree with this. Probably also worth noting that today's 6am opening is a regular park opening and not EEMH.

We actually plan to go right to TSL at 6am. We have Oga reservations so we’ll get in to see SWGE that day and we’ll skip the ride. We aren’t Star Wars fans though 😬
I think this is going to be a good plan. While Disneyland & WDW are different I think you'll find the ride times high in the am and get slower during the rest of the day.

A lot of blogs have been suggesting rope dropping TSL and then moving on to SWGE late morning, after the peak in the morning.

When do EEMHs start? I thought that August 29th was an EEMH but it looks like I was wrong. Will there will be lower crowds with EEMH? Also curious to see what waits are like at other parks after opening day and once EEMH starts.

EEMH started today at MK/AK and starts 9/1 at DHS.

Us as well-arriving the 5th leaving the 11th- see ya real soon!

I'm very intrigued to see how the next few weeks play out. We're in Orlando Sept 21-28 and our HS day is 26th - we have Oga's reservations at 10:25am and Droid at 6:30pm, but the plan is to hit EEMH for RnRC and ToT and our first time at TSL and a couple of fastpasses, pop into Oga's and have a wander around SWGE, lunch at 12:30 at Sci Fi then probably head out of the park for a few hours, come back for Droid res and Fantasmic. Would be cool to ride MFSR but we'll see what crowds are like and decide on the day/

We'll be there the same days and I'm now concerned about people pushing their trips back into ours to avoid the hurricane. Hopefully, even if this happens, it still won't be crazy busy.

I don’t think you need to worry. Most people aren’t that flexible with dates. We’re stuck either riding out the hurricane or losing our money. Even if we could take off time from work we’d lose all our FP and ADR, including my Oga’s and droid res 😫

I didn’t focus on that. I see that the 6 AM openings are for everyone tomorrow and Saturday too, then the EEMH start on Sunday.

IF, and I know it's a big IF this becomes the new normal for wait times, my family will be going much more often and probably spending more money as we won't feel as rushed as we do with the huge crowds.
