Extra extra AK magic hours

I just read extra extra magic hours from 10-12 am are every night at AK for resort guests. Is this correct? Do wait times tend to be crazy? Also, will this work on day of checkout? Thank you, thank you!

It was extended from the Pandora opening and is nightly through August 19th I believe it is. You can attend emh on the day you check in and day you check out.

The evening Emh are only for Pandora so there's only 2 rides, so waits can get lengthy

Ok, thanks. I didn't realize they extended this, and we have a split stay, the end of the week being off site. I had scheduled AK for Friday, and we have a fp for Na'vi that day. Being off site, we won't be able to do the extra hours though. If I try to switch our days so we can do the extra hours I lose the fp for na'vi, i just checked...any advice?

I would keep it the way you have it now. From reports I have read Pandora is the only section open for the evening EMH and is super crowded. With only 2 rides open and anyone off site can still shop and walk around.

I wonder if they will extend it anymore. We go 8/26-9/5. We would go just to walk around to see it at night.

I doubt it, but I also didn't think they would extend it the first time. If they don't extend it, you'll still be able to check out Pandora at night every day. And they'll still have evening Emh throughout the week on certain days

Don't bother with EMH nights for AK, totally not worth it. Only Pandora is open and people in line prior to normal park closing have the queues 100% full, so at 10PM the wait for FOP is likely 2 hours and that time will not come down at all. It is mobbed, the rest of AK is closed and the EMH is just a waste of time.

Now, if you can arrange morning EMH for AK, that is much better. If you get there early, you can be off of FOP before 8:30 and in the morning, the rest of the park is open so you can do a safari, ride Everest and many other things in a relatively empty park.

Anyone have experience with the single rider line at FoP during the EMH? My mom and sister are planning to go on Sunday night, and weren't anticipating the crazy crowds at the extra EMH. Glad I read this so I can prepare them!

Since FoP had opened I don't believe they've opened up the single rider line at all

What?! So silly. I thought I read that FoP is set up to have single rider. I never understand why Disney doesn't utilize single rider as much as Universal does. I guess maybe they don't have the space in their queues.

Really? That's disappointing. I feel like when people were panicking about no evening EMH a few weeks ago, the general consensus was calm down, of course they'll add hours. I believe that they are NO evening magic hours at all during my 2 week stay 8/26 - 9/9. The park closes at 9:30 the first week and 9:00 the second week. On August 27, sunset is at 7:50. This leaves 1 hour and 40 minutes to explore Pandora (not the rides just the land in the dark), evening safari (could be done prior to sunset) Everest & Kali in the dark, the tree of life show, rivers of light and DinoLand -- nowhere near enough time. I have 3 evenings planned, and I'm still not sure it will work. (And, I'm not happy about having to plan all of the hopping around.) If I had just one day in which the park (all of the night time stuff, not just Pandora) was open late, until 11pm like last year, it would make a big difference. I cannot figure out why last year this park had such late hours and now that they've opened the new land, they cut back the hours.

I know...there is no point complaining about it here....
