How big is the extra bed at the Poly, can Two people sleep on it. Is it about the size of a futon bed.
Thanks

It is the size of a single. Two people will not fit, even small people.

Are you talking about the sleeper sofa in the villas, the murphy bed in the villas or the day bed in the hotel rooms?

That depends on which bed you are referring to. The sleeper sofa can sleep 2, while the daybed and murphy bed can only fit 1 and most adults will be too large and not find it suitable for sleeping. They are considered singles and are smaller than a twin size bed in both length and width.

I am not sure what bed we booked. We did book for 5 people, how do we find out what room has what bed.

There are really two ‘sides’ to Poly, the regular resort side and DVC (villas) side. That’s why you see two “Polynesian” references on Disney’s website.... “Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort” (which is the regular resort) and “Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows” (which is DVC).

Most of the DVC side guests book via DVC points/ownership, but Disney does sell a few rooms on a cash-basis on that ‘side’ from time to time.

Most regular guests will have booked the standard resort side, which in all likelihood is what you booked (assumption on my part). All resort side rooms have either 2 queens and a daybed or 1 king and a daybed. The large, large majority of rooms are 2 queens and a daybed.

The daybed in these rooms is really just a single, it would be very uncomfortable, if not impossible, to fit two people on it.

Hope that all makes sense!

If you booked a regular res, not DVC, you will have 2 queens plus daybed. It’s fine for an adult.

Question about the extra bed (we'll be using I at Poly too). Do they make it up for you with sheets and such? Or to you have to ask for bedding and do it yourself?

My dd slept in it one trip. It's the size of a couch, with the top folded down. Plenty of room for 1 adult. When you open the bed, it's already made up with sheets. Extra blankets and pillows are in the closet. If you need more, just ask housekeeping.

If you look at your reservation, it will tell you what room you booked. If you booked a room on the resort side, you will have two queen beds and a daybed. If you booked a studio, you will have one queen bed, one queen pull-out sofa and a murphy bed. Murphy beds and daybeds will only fit one person.

Yeah. I do not really think which side booked matters a lot here. The queen bed and queen sofa bed both fit two. The day bed and Murphy bed each fit one, and fitting two is not going to be comfortable, even if you are dealing with, say, 4 year old twins or something. Just not wide enough.

There is bedding in the closet, you make it yourself. Mousekeeping will leave the bedding on there and tidy up/tuck in the sheets if you leave it on there when you leave, in my experience.
