Help...I know that I need an extra battery and maybe even an extra charger but what I don't understand is when I go to look for them (after market ones I guess) it says NP-FH100 it gives different mAh--like 1300 or 1800 or 2100. Which one should I be looking at? I don't want to buy the wrong one. Thanks for your help, also any suggestions on where to buy from?

I have bought my extra batteries from YOUBATT.com for a Nikon, and never had a problem. The numbers then Mh show how many millamp hours the battery is rated at,Now that I have really confused you,you can Google battery millamp and you can get a better explanation then I could give. The higher the millamp number means the battery will hold a higher charge and will run a little longer. If your old battery is not a lithium ion and the new is you will need a new charger

The mah numbers are the battery capacity. The bigger the number the longer the charge in the battery.

These are just numbers out of the sky but as an example 1300 may get you 100 shots. 1800 may get you 150 shots 2100 may get you 300 shots.

So buy the biggest mah number battery that will fit your camera.
