Extra 2024 Coast to Coast to Coast medal?

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone has or knows someone with an extra 2024 Coast to Coast Medal they are willing to part with? I wanted to surprise my wife who is about to participate in her second runDisney 5K/10K combo at Disneyland for the Halloween weekend (after her princess combo in February) this year after having had her 3rd back surgery which she thought would keep her from participating in her dream of even running in the Princess Marathon weekend completely this past February. While I know it's meant for the challenge, I wanted to get one for her since I'm so proud of her!

Any and all help with anyone who can help would be truly appreciate it. Please DM me with more info if anyone is able!

Have you tried eBay or one of the Facebook runDisney groups?

I've looked on eBay and wasn't able to find anything. Did not try Facebook, didn't know there were groups I could check Are there any specifically you recommend?

Not specific to medals, but "RunDisney Run Public Market" and "RunDisney marketplace" are generally active.

eBay currently has some older Coast to Coast medals. I don't know how they are dated but it may be an acceptable second choice if you cannot find a 2024 one.

Yeah, I noticed the older ones but they have the year on them. Was hoping to get a 2024 medal since she did both races this year. Thank you though!

One thing to consider that may be making it tricky right now.

There are probably very few C2C medals available right now. Keep in mind that anyone who qualified for C2C using WDW Marathon Weekend and Disneyland Half weekend only received the unique "suitcase" medal. Anyone who has the C2C, but did not run in that back to back race weekends had to run Disneyland Half and either Princess or Springtime Surprise 10K. So only 1 Disneyland race and 2 WDW races are currently C2C eligible.

Anyone who ran the half or full at Disney World in January, but not the Disneyland Half the following week cannot yet have C2C because they must run the Disneyland Halloween Half to qualify.

Now, here's where you might have some luck after Halloween Half. At that point, any runner who ran both the back to back C2C Disney World to Disneyland in one week in January and Princess Half and/or Springtime Surprise 10 miler would then earn a second C2C medal by running Halloween Half. Then you might have someone willing to sell their "extra" medal depending on which one they like better and/or their feelings about the medal.

Alternatively, you may be able to purchase a Coast to Coast shirt and/or medal pin at the Expo if they sell medal pins this year. I do not recall seeing Coast to Coast medal pins at the Disneyland Half expo in January, but they did sell shirts there.

It may even be possible to purchase a Coast to Coast medal only shadowbox from a vendor at the Expo or after the fact. Just tell them you do are not interested in listing your time and you're not worried about the bib number. You only care about the name and C2C. Now, they will likely cut some or most of the ribbon to fit it cleanly in the shadowbox, so we're not talking about a "wearable" medal here unless you replace the ribbon. And obviously, there's the shadowbox cost to keep in mind.

Thank you so much for the insight and recommendations to wait it out a bit! There is not rush to get it, so I will just keep checking eBay and a few other sites and wait patiently. Based on the fact there seem to be several older versions on eBay, it seems like people eventually do sell them.
