Extinct Rides

Snow white's scary adventures. It hasn't been gone long, but I'm still sad my son will only experience it on YouTube.

So did something replace this ride?

Definitely Body Wars! Wish they would have put something other than a festival pavilion to replace WOL...Epcot sure could use another headliner.

Me. Toad hands down.

I never got to experience Alien Encounter, I have far flung wish that some day it will return.

Of the attractions we've experienced that are now gone, Tarzan Rocks! Of course, it's not a ride, it was a show, but it was my family's favorite. We miss Food Rocks and Body Wars. It's really kinda sad that they took attractions out of Epcot and replaced them with nothing.

I wish we'd had the chance to ride the Skyway (my favorite kind of ride) and 20,000 Leagues. When I heard they were going to do a Little Mermaid ride in that area, I was hoping it'd be something "under the sea" like 20,000 Leagues. No such luck.

Snow Whites scary adventure was such a classic.... I know the Seven Dwarves Mine Train will be amazing though..... but I wish they could have kept both

Cranium Command. Close second would be Kitchen Cabaret/Food Rocks. Can't support the Skyway. The MK was built to be seen from the pavement view, not from an aerial view. That view ruined too much of the magic when you could see parking lots and the tops/backs of buildings "back stage" that you were never really supposed to see.
Yes! Loved Kitchen Kaberet. Nothing like the comedy of Ham and Eggs. I still have the Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit song in my head. Original Journey into imagination with longer length and Dreamfinder. Actually, I loved all the old Epcot rides too (horizons, world or motion, original Universe of Energy - have that song in my head too). I actually miss how a lot of rides at Epcot had cool soundtracks.

Alien Encounter!!!

Kuddos to Disney for trying something actually scary and thrilling without moving. So scary, you had to be restrained in a seat that doesn't move. They appealed to ALL the senses. I remember seeing it the first time and the alien busting thru the glass tube and how my brain was convinced broken glass was flying toward me, so I put my hands up to protect my face. Then your brain catches up and understands they are NOT hurling glass pieces at guests... brilliant!!

I would like to experience this again.

This scared the crud out of me!! I'm glad it's gone! *gulp!*

20,000 leagues under the sea.. no reason anyone should want anything else

EXACTLY!
I still remember going on that when I was a kid and miss it so much. It was a claustrophobic experience, even as a kid, but I loved it.

Oh man I knew I missed Figment but I hadn't even thought about Horizons, World of Motion or Body Wars in years. Epcot really did have some great rides "back in the day." Now I'm sad. :(

I wished they would have kept the older rides and just added the newer ones like Soarin and Test Track and Mission Space to an expanded area to make future world bigger. I also remember the rope drop charge to Honey I Shrunk the Audience during its first few years. That line was always packed down the concrete ramp.

20,000 leagues under the sea. Just something about seeing those subs that shouted "This is Disney"?

I have nostalgia for the Sky Ride and 20K Leagues, but, really, that's all it is.

I remember as a kid wanting to ride the Sky Ride and then getting on it and looking down and it sort of ruined some of it for me because you're just looking down on huge warehouses.

20K Leagues was OK in the 1970s and it sucked when it was just shut down for 10+ years, sitting there. It's really cool what they've done to Fantasyland now, though.

I do like the re-imagining that they've done on 20K out at Disneyland. I think it's Nemo's ride and they spend time making everything look nice and shiny. Of course, the last I heard is that has been down for quite some time.

I actually do miss the Horizons and World of Motion. I like the Disney way of taking you through the history, or future, of something with various scenes, much how Spaceship Earth is. It's something very unique to Disney. Test Track is fine but it's about riding in a car almost as fast as you drove to WDW. Sure, I ride it when I'm there and enjoy it but I thought that World of Motion was a bit more enriching that that.

to me the most terrifying ride was the sky ride. there was just something about riding in a giant bucket being held up two cable line swinging back and forth.
I am surprised no one fell over on that ride.

I totally remember 20k leagues! I also remember that singing vegetable ride in Epcot (I think it was where the living with the land ride is now, but I could be wrong). For some reason I just remember loving that ride when I was little!

Not a ride -- but we miss the lighted arch / Lights of Winter show/ musical light show at EPCOT during holiday season.

That would be mine too! I also miss Toad and Food Rocks, but not as much as the Lights of Winter. I miss it every time I visit Epcot on our annual Christmas/NYE trip.
