I can't find it, but what are the general rules for that final payment? Do they give you an extra week? I know I can call and change the tickets to less days....but isn't their a change fee involved if it lessens the package price?

Just trying to buy 8 days....so I don't have to rearrange checks/payments...etc

Thanks!!

There is no change fee if the change is made with more than 45 days until your arrival. So go ahead and take the extras off the tickets if that helps. You can upgrade the tickets when you check in if you still want to add options or days.

If you cannot make your final payment on the due date, Disney will give you a little bit of a break. It's best to call them prior to being late to advise them of the situation. They will not cancel your package until 30 days prior to arrival if it has not been paid in full by that point.

Thanks :) Since we had to split our package in to two separate ressies the ticket situation might work. One ressie is now almost paid off, will be on Monday. And then the second ressie (still our family but we're a grand gathering now....LOL, kids!) Anyhow....if we drop our tickets on it to 1 days, it'll take off 600.00 and that'll buy me the 8 days I need.

Would they penalize me if I called back 8 days after my 45 day mark and added those tickets back to the 5 day base tickets we had before instead of waiting till check in? Or is it just easier to pay the upgrade when we check in and avoid any change fees?

Thanks again!

There's no penalty for making a change that increases the price of your package. Disney is always happy when you volunteer to spend more money with them! :lmao:

If it were me, I would wait until you arrive to upgrade the tix. That way if you need to change them, you won't incur any penalties. The savings for doing it beforehand is very nominal and if you think there is ANY chance of needing to lessen them, I would definitely wait. But that is just me.
good luck w/ your trip.
BTW, WDW will work with you on final payment. I would call them though and make them aware of your situation. They extended mine and put notes all over it, so that it wouldn't get cancelled. I have FD and I know if they cancelled it, I wouldn't get it back. As long as you are paid in full at the 30 day mark, they will work with you. Just keep them informed so they can note what is going on on your ressie. Good Luck. :goodvibes
