Thanks to all of you here I know to bring an entension cord but can someone tell me what type of plug I should bring....three pronged or two pronged.

BTW a friend is going on Norwegian Cruise Line and was wondering the same thing...will she need to bring an adapter since it is a European ship ?

I say "two prong" assming that you want to plug in a clock and other personal appliances. You will only need a 3 prong extension if you are going to be bringing your circular saw or other portable tools. I am just kidding you. That is a good question and the answer of course is just an old cheap two prong cord about 10 feet long.

Thanks Russ...( You must know my DH. We have so many tools around this house I guess I am just getting used to seeing the extension cords with 3 prongs and simply assumed that's what they all looked like. ) Now in hindsight..I see that it must have seemed like a silly question.

Now I just have to make sure DH leaves all his little toys behind otherwise he will be offering to "tune-up" the engines! LOL

Your DH and I are members of the manly men club I guess. 3 prong extensions and lots of manly toys.
Have a great cruise.

I used a 2 prong hair dryer and a 2 prong digital clock in my room, but can't remember if it would take a 2 prong. My GUESS is that it will take a 3 prong.

They are the us standard 3 prong outlets, but there's only a few so the extension cord is really essential, but either/or will work fine.

For those who may be bringing a CPAP machine or other devices, remember to check and see if what you want to plug in isn't three-prong to begin with. If so, the extension cord will have to be able to accomodate a three-prong plug.

I know that my CPAP machine has a three-prong plug. Therefore, I bring an adaptor that will convert a three-prong into a two-prong plug.
