I can't seem to find the answer to this in searches, if it's already posted somewhere...I apologize.

I'm planning a split stay 5 nights onsite and then several offsite nights. 5 nights onsite give me a 6 day Magic Your Way ticket with dining...etc. I'm looking to spend 12 nights in the area, with a 10 day pass, in years past I have done it completely offsite, but want to try out onsite amenities since we haven't yet with kids.

Once onsite, can I go to guest services to extend the 6 day MYW ticket to to add 4 more days of just park tickets? For obvious reasons, I don't want to buy a 6-day AND then a 4-day ticket separately. I know my first 6 days will have dining...etc tied to it and will have to use it up.

Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to extend your tickets at your resort or any park ticket booth. It will be about $10.50 per adult per day. :)

Yes, you can do the upgrade.

BUT, do not do the upgrade until AFTER you have actually USED the ticket at least one time to enter a theme park.

After you have used the ticket at least once, the total cost to add the 4 additional days will be $42.60, including tax.

Thanks! I had converted a 10-day hopper into an AP, but wasn't sure if there was something that made the MYW pass different. This cleared things up for me.

When booking a Disney resort + dining plan package, you have to buy at least one- or two-day tickets minimum, but you are allowed to buy up to 10 park admissions. The number of park days you purchase isn't tied to how many nights or days you're at a Disney resort. The tickets will remain on your MagicBands and you can continue to use your MBs to access your remaining park admissions after your on-site stay is completed. Dining credits will be accessible until midnight on check-out day. Room charging with MagicBands will end on check-out day, but I'm not sure what time, exactly.

The dining plan is based on nights at a Disney resort. You will have 5 TS, 5 QS, 5 Snack credits per person. Plus one refillable mug pp, for length of stay, good at all Disney resorts.

I hope you enjoy your Disney stay. Once we stayed onsite, we never stayed offsite again.

This is a little beside the point, but you do not have to purchase tickets in order to add dining to a package unless it's a dining promo package (like S/P/D or free dining) You can now purchase ticketless packages and add dining to a room booked at rack rate or a room-only discount. It's unfortunate Disney didn't advertise this new package option very well as I have found sometimes adding dining to a room-only discount and then purchasing tickets from UT turns out to be less than Disney dining promos.

OP, if you have already booked a package with room, dining and tickets, you don't have to wait until you arrive to add days to your ticket. Simply call Disney and have the days added to your ticket now. Only dining credits are linked to the number of nights onsite. You can have a 10-day ticket with your 5-night onsite dining package. I would save yourself some time and do it before you arrive.

Do you already have the tickets? Just buy a 10 day to start and don't bother with the upgrade. As long as you use them within 14 days, disney does care where you are staying (well they do since they want your money, but it doesn't effect your tickets ;))

If you have a regular multi-day MYW ticket it is valid for 14 days from date of first use. If you first use it on a Sunday, it is valid through park closing on the second Saturday following, or until all the days are used, whichever comes first.

I was told by a MJ travel agent that I have to purchase tickets, maybe the non-ticket option was for a limited time?
