Extended queue for people mover!

I love that t's the original and has a older, quaint feel to it, but it's a trip that once every 5 years or so does it for me. We went for the 50th, then once since then. The 50th was amazing, doubt we'll see them do it up like they did again ..well until the 100th! Doubt I'll be around to see that one so I'll settle for the 50th at WDW!

I wasn't there for the 50th, but they seem to be making quite a big deal about the 60th. New fireworks, new nighttime parade, new WOC, updates to attractions (just read a blog about matterhorn and PPF), decorating the castle, critter country just reopened from a refurb, etc. By all accounts they are getting everything spruced up, and adding new things, all for the 60th.

I think you'd be surprised. They're putting an awful lot of effort into the 60th this year. And that new night parade looks outstanding.

Yep! Here is some info from their website:

Seems to be a big deal to me. :confused3

I wonder if the PP queue is typically open at RD or if they opened it for the crowds this week?
I think it's always open. I could be wrong, but it seems that it feeds right into the ride and I'm not sure how else they'd get you there now without interfering with the Fp line ... And it seemed roomy enough that you could stop for a photo while people continued past you .... For when there's really no wait at all, which is rare for that ride.

Sounds like fun and quite a marketing campaign. They always do something to tempt me! We won't be going but I'm sure they'll do it up right. Disney's pretty good with those kinds of things.

And WDW or DL, it's all still Disney so it's all good to me.

I imagine we'll see a lot of the People Mover queue when we're there in June. My daughter adores DL but the entire time we were there she kept complaining about how they had closed theirs, opened a replacement, then closed that for good. We might just have to spend an entire evening riding the People Mover. :)

This thread really makes me want to get back to Disneyland. We really had fun there and loved California plus now so much has changed so maybe that should be my next focus?

If you do go, definitely think about going after the holiday decorations go up in mid-November. Haunted Mansion holiday, iasw holiday, Jingle Cruise..apparently a bit of the holidays in Storybook Land Canal Boats...fireworks and WOC every night (even the slow weekdays). Seriously, the more I look into our trip this November, the more excited I get :)
