we got here for the 8 am offsite open. Did Peter Pan standby to see the new queue, then BTMRR, Splash, PotC, Splash again with FP, PP with FP, had lunch at BOG, went to kiosk and got 4th FP for monsters inc, CM there have us paper FP for Philharmagic (which was a 30 min wait ... So we walked right onto that one). Just got out of CoP and decided to kill time on the PM extended queue while waiting for the 2:20 Monsters FP. Then we'll see the parade and get out of dodge. Considering the 100 minute waits everywhere, we have done extremely well. Can't emphasize the importance of RD enough when it's a big holiday like this! And today is a recommended day - I don't want to know what yesterday looked like!

So true - even on a really busy day you can do well with a smart touring plan and effective use of FP. :smooth:

We have been here since Saturday and can vouch for both the crowds and how much you can do by arriving early and using FPs effectively during the busiest parts of the day. Will try to give a report when we get back.

As for the Peoplemover queue we went through that last evening when we went on it after dinner. There were quite a few people in the queue at ground level, but they were holding people from going up the ramp. We were on a vehicle within 5 minutes even with what looked like a significant line.

My favorite observation of the trip so far came when we used our FPs at Space Mountain. The woman ahead of us was having trouble getting Mickey to turn green, and the CM told her that she had already used the FP. She said with a surprised tone "you mean we can only go ONCE?". Apparently she thought that if you have a FP for 5PM-6PM you could ride as many times as you could stuff into that hour.

Pictures! We love pictures! Especially when they show it's not as bad as others are reporting!

Anecdotal - but I just got on splash mountain at 11:15, got off, walked over to the parade route and there was tons of space at the rope facing pecos bill. This is while there is an 80 min wait at jungle cruise and 105 at BTMRR. There are two parades today - noon and 3.

I'm generally not a picture taker. Besides, I think a few well chosen words can often be more effective than a picture. For example, I would rather have someone tell me that it took them 15 minutes to get through the line on a ride than to show me a picture showing the line or showing the posted wait time of 35 minutes.

I may provide more details when I get home, but I will say that it is very crowded, as it always has been for us the week after Easter. But, with a good approach involving getting to a park early and using FPs effectively, it is still very easy to do a lot of things. Epcot was very crowded yesterday, as confirmed by its 10 rating by Touring Plans.

I spent a few hours at MK by myself this morning while my daughters went off to visit Harry Potter. I waited until they left and got to the MK at 7:30. By a little after 10 I had been on PP, Splash, BTMRR, POC, JC, and HM. All of them had actual waits shorter than the posted times, most notably JC, which was actual 15 compared to posted 35, and HM which was actual 10 compared to posted 25. POC was posted at 10 but was a literal walk on.

After 10 the posted times were getting a lot longer and, after a walk around the park and a quick spin on the Peoplemover, I headed over to Poly for a relaxing lunch. For someone with well positioned FPs (which I don't have at MK today) it would be possible to get in a few more headliners before moving on to the "anytime attractions". But, anyone entering the park around 10 or 11 was going to be looking at a lot of long lines, just like always on the most crowded days. To me, it seemed noticeably more crowded at MK this morning than it did on Easter Sunday when my daughters and I entered at 7 and did the mine train, Space, Buzz, and PP before 8 and then headed over to Frontierland.

We also noticed a lot of overinflated posted SB wait times at all of the parks 3/18-20. I think the posted times are discouraging people from riding, and that's why we are seeing so many stories about only riding a handful of rides all day. I also think that they are not estimating the effects of FP+ on the SB line well. I think they are overcompensating.

I don't know about Wisblue, but I find it impossible to take the time to post pictures while I'm on vacation. I very much appreciate him taking valuable trip time to post how things are going.

Glad to know! If you can handle the crowds this week and still accomplish a lot, my June trip should be a breeze! Thanks for the updates!

Today we got to MK for the 8am general open (it opens 7 am all week for onsite guests).
We did space mountain, astor orbiter, buzz lightyear, under the sea, Jungle Cruise, BTMRR, Splash, watched the 12 pm parade, haunted mansion, had lunch at The Plaza, did Winnie the Pooh as a 4th FP and left the park before the 3 pm parade started. Now we're going to the pool.
ETA - forgot we also did Tomotrowland Speedway - amazing how I've already blocked that one out of my memory!

Most certainly, especially with how spotty the wifi is in the parks. But I meant for when he got back and gives the trip report he is talking about doing. Pictures are always appreciated!

No, has nothing to do with wifi- I really don't have much problems with it in the parks. We have a general ban against having our phones in our faces on vacation in general- since I pushed for that rule, I could hardly be the one to break it. But mostly, I just don't want to waste park time. But yes, I do love to see pictures!

Nice job! Sounds like you're having a great time. Enjoy!

We are still on the fence about going in June, that's why I'm especially interested in crowds right now. It would be nice to see how crowd days (and the very high wait times I'm seeing on easywdw.com) for a week like the current week correlate to a week in early/mid June.

Maybe it's just me, but I would rather have physical proof rather than relying on someone's "word". Guess that's why I'm not a real religious person either. ;)
