We are arrive October 8th through the Columbus weekend. Been watching for disney to extend the hours at the parks but it hadn't happened.

Is there a chance disney will find it in there heart to stay open later? :(

Only parks where you might have a chance of that happening are MK (on non-MNSSHP days) and maybe DHS.

AK doesn't extend hours. Epcot is already extended to 10 on Friday and Saturday night and they won't extend further.

MK has EMH on Saturday night of Columbus Day weekend, so I doubt they'll extend hours, either. I just wish they'd run MSEP on Tuesday, 10/14. I love MSEP and always seem to miss it!

We've been there for the past three Octobers and they did extend hours on two of those trips, I believe. Only at the MK, and instead of opening at 9 they opened at 8. Both times I believe it was on MNSSHP days.

Well they extended the hours for mk and hS! Very excited! 3am on Saturday 11th

I guess AK doesn't have "extended" hours like midnight or 3am, but in the time between when I booked my vacation for the week of Columbus Day and now, AK hours have been extended from 5-7pm. MK has added EMH on Saturday 10/18 til midnight and I don't know when DHS changed their hours, but it's now 8:30 some nights that week vs. 7pm previously.

Saturday has extended hours at mk. They will be open till 2am the 18th

Dhs is now open till 9 most nights

The last two weeks DHS is only open until 7. Hopefully this means less crowds than at the beginning of the month. :)

Also, the MK hours must be wrong for 10/23. Says open until 11, but that's not possible as there is a party that night.

All other hours for last two weeks remain the same. Wait, I think MK is open later on a the Mondays and Wednesdays - but same hours as last year for that second to lastweek..

The hours over Columbus Day are crazy...those are like 4th of July hours! Hopefully for those going that doesn't mean crowds will be out of control...but for the first half of the month, it looks like Disney has substantially increased hours compared to last October.

You know what's annoying? It's not coming up on MDE. I thought that was supposed to be our vacation planning tool, and they don't even have the right park hours posted yet!

I have mixed feelings… Late night (early morning?) at MK is our FAVORITE thing to do at WDW. We have been able to stay in the park until as "late" as 3am in the summer, and it's perfectly magic to be the only people on the pathway between Liberty Square and Splash Mountain! However, 10/11 is our arrival day. We need to be on a 6am plane that morning (so arrive at the airport by 4:45). I am afraid if we try to do MK that evening, we'll be exhausted for the rest of the trip. OTOH, I might just reschedule everything… oh, wait, what are the chances of decent FP+s at this late date? Sigh… perhaps I'll leave it all alone. One bright thing, though: MSEP has been scheduled on our MK day, and MDE hasn't shown that to be happening at all!

I bet they scheduled late night at MK on 10/11 to draw some of the crowd out of Epcot and away from F&W. :drinking1

Ok. Seriously. People are upset they extended hours. This is great. If it's crowded then it's crowded. We will be there a week and we are ecstatic with the extra hours.

Nope, I'm conflicted because it probably means they expect huge crowds. When I booked this week the crowd calendars were predicting a level 3 crowd in Epcot and AK all week. I really didn't believe the level 3 predictions, but it sure was nice to think about a "calm" Disney vacation, rather than the crowd levels of August, which is when we've had to visit over the past 7 years.

It's also annoying that it's not coming up on MDE. If you don't know about all the "other" Disney planning sites, you aren't going to know about extended hours, and that'll impact your trip.

Finally, selfishly, my plans are already made around the hours that have been posted for months now, and it's going to be a huge undertaking to change them. I would LOVE to stay in MK until 3am but have to consider how this'll impact the rest of my trip, have to re-plan our park days, look for more FP+ and ADRs if I change the schedule, etc. I'm only "upset" about the extended park hours because I want to take advantage of them, but it's going to be a huge amount of work and re-planning to do so!

So glad they extended the hours til 3 am. We are park hoppers and love to get up late and not do RD. I so was not looking forward to the 10 pm closing on everything.
