Extended Hours - better to hop over late, or stay all day?

Is it considered better to AVOID a park that has "extended hours" for Deluxe resorts by day (because people flock to that park)- and only hop over to it for the extended hours, when crowds diminish a bit, or is it best to AVOID transportation / hopping if possible, and simply spend the full extended day in that park? (Kinda "counter-intuitive" park planning, believing that people might stay away from a park with extended hours for fear of higher crowds, and only come over to that park once the daytime hoardes diminish.)

Granted - staying in one park only kinda negates the whole purpose of a park hopper ticket... but that may be part of the attraction for a family trying to conserve on money, time, or chaos (just use a base ticket at whatever park has the longest hours that day).

We have 4 day PH tickets w/ Genie, and we are also registered for a DVC-members event @ HS (on a Thurs evening)

If EPCOT and MK extended hours remain as scheduled now, and only for EPCOT and MK (as posted for our trip, and assuming they don't change) - I'm trying to figure out if we should:

a) go to Epcot ALL DAY on Mon and MK ALL DAY on Wed (and do AK on Sunday, HS on Tues and again Thurs night)
- OR -
b) go to Epcot on Sun, then go to AK on Mon and HOP to Epcot that evening; go to MK on Tues and HS on Wed (then HOP over to MK that evening); HS on Thurs night.

Interested in perspective, especially if you've attended a recent "extended hours" event.

For our May 1- May 6 trip, the extended hours were the 2nd and 4th. Resort was Beach Club (DVC). 2nd started early morning time at AK returning back to the resort that afternoon. Spent evening and extended hours in EPCOT, finishing that night with two Remy runs. The 4th was the HS early morning with Star Wars (May the fourth be with you) fun day with afternoon stop back at resort before into EPCOT for dinner. Wasn’t sure if would do the extended at MK with wanting the night at HS with all the lightsaber and dress up excitement viewing. We were at HS to closing 9pm, finishing with a night run on Slinky. Did the walking stroll back to resort room. It was now just after 10pm so decided to go for it, grabbing a MK bus, arriving there at 10:30pm. Did the full MK extended to 1am, returning back to resort on the bus. I’d plan the trip doing whatever works best for you and not worry about what the crowd levels will be. Have to take into account the number in your party too for the bouncing around. Our trip was just the two of us. We enjoy the hopping. Have fun!

The number of Deluxe guests is less than half of all onsite resort guests and much lower than offsite, so I don’t think they have much influence on park crowds on those DEEH days. As above, do whatever seems best for your family.
