Extended Christmas Trip !

Well, we were supposed to return to NY on Christmas Day but when our plane reached NC we were sent back to Orlando International because the NY/NJ Airports were closed due to the snow storm. After landing, we were given a piece of paper from a Delta employee (8:00pm) for "Us" to call for a discounted room (God knows where since the employee had no idea) and some how transportation was to be arranged for us to get there. I asked her if I could re-schedual our flight, and her blunt answer was "At your cost charges will apply". Well, that didn't float for me so I went to the ticket counter where I was told that if I changed my flight before leaving the airport, there would be NO extra charges (As I always say, when you dont like how someone treats/answers you, find someone else for a better response). After a few phone calls, we wound up with another car rental and a extra 5 days in the World at the Polynesian. So, the 6 day trip at the VWL turned into a 10 day trip of Holiday Joy. Oh my Gosh! That would be such an amazingly wonderful dream come true kinda Christmas present. We were there from the 15th - the 21st and I kept hoping and hoping we would get snowed out of going home too. It must have been the best trip ever. I would have been grinning ear to ear on my way back to Orlando!
