We're going to WDW at DD's 6th birthday next month. We arrive the afternoon before her b'day and have ressies at CRT for breakfast the morning of her b'day. (She doesn't know about that yet :bday: )
My question is this: Is it okay to get her the birthday buttons to wear each day throughout the week at all the different parks or just on her actual b'day?
This trip is our family's big Christmas present, but we made sure we would be there for her b'day since we read so much about the things they do for special occasions. We want it to be really special for her princess: , but also don't want little sis DD4 princess: to feel neglected. (It was her Christmas present, too.)
What do you think?

I don't think anyone would stop you from doing it. Just be aware that they don't always do something special because you are wearing the button. If you want to make it special arrange and pay for something.

I wouldn't want to see you dissapointed when you thought all these things were going to happen and they didn't.

If you make some priority seatings they may do something at the meal. Other things that can happen is that a CM arranges for your child to get a birthday phone call from Goofy. They wish you happy birthday, you could get a magical moment on a ride.

I think that with a little sister, I wouldn't do Bday celebrating every day. I think it would make the 4 year old feel a little left out. On the actual Birthday - yes, of course. But after that, I would do equal.

Just for clarification, I'm not looking for anything big for her, just a little extra attention - people wishing her a happy b'day, a special note with some of the character signatures, that sort of thing. I made the PS for CRT for her b'day and we'll have a party at home probably before the trip. She doesn't have expectations, so any little gesture will be a big deal for her.

As far as DD4 goes, I'm thinking about taking her for a 3-4 day trip for her b'day in September (we'll be there 7 days this trip), just the 2 of us since big sis will be in 1st grade by then.

I think that getting a button every day would be fine. My kids b-days are 2 weeks apart and we purposely (sp?) planned our trip the week between their b-days. So technically even though it is not actually their b-days, we are there to CELEBRATE their b-days and they will have buttons and little surprises that I planned everyday. This topic has been discussed alot on these boards and I think a lot of other people do it as well. Have fun!!

Thanks, I just don't want to "take advantage" of it. I've seen some of the other posts and in some of them, it looked like people do the extended thing, but other times it looked like it was just for the actual day.
