I thought it might be fun to talk about what we really love about any given park. Let's make this thread about the Studios.

It's not my favorite park of the four, but the more I visit it the more I like it. I really enjoy:

1) The atmosphere and early Hollywood aura of Hollywood Blvd.

2) ToT - What a unique thrill! So smooth and so well-themed

3) RnRC -The theming is outstanding; the ride just rocks. It was my favorite ride on the last trip

4) Hanging out in the Muppets Courtyard.

5) Indiana Jones stunt show

Your turn, if you wish.

I love everything at MGM -

the lazy pace and still get to see everything -

the attractions for toddlers - Beauty and the Beast, Playhouse Disney & Little Mermaid

awesome character interactions

the parade

Fantasmic

ToT & RnRC

The Studios if probably my second favorite after MK. There's nothing like being in the Hollywood that Never Was. The streetmosphere characters. One of personal favorite little touches is the billboard just before you enter the G-Force Records courtyard on your left advertising homes in the Hollywood Hills, just so cool. The only thing I don't like about the park is the layout. I've been lost here more times than I can count, usually around the backlot area. But even being lost there can be fun. That's when you find the cool stuff.

ToT, RnR, Fantasmic and at Christmastime the Osborne Lights. :goodvibes

Myst

we love the great movie ride! its my favorite at mgm, its so interesting & fun! also love indiana jones stunt spectacular, the backlot tour with catastophe canyon, muppets 3d, the villians store, sci fi dine in theme, disney animation tour, the honey i shrunk the kids movie set we go in for a neat picture everytime, my favorite is the camera roll. mgm has such a great classic cinema feel.

MGM was without doubt my favourite park in Orlando. We went 3 times during our 2 week stay. I didnt find a single attraction i didnt like (well except the Lights Motors Stuntshow, that was pants but its new, it might get better). Tower of Terror is the best attraction at any park, any where, ever. It isnt just the drop which isnt actually that high, but the complete immersion in the story and fantastic theming. I was actually disappointed by some of the newer Disney attractions becuase I felt they were inferior to the TOT which is getting on a bit now. Dinosaur is one example; rubbish in every area. Rock n Roller coaster is really fun too, again excellent theming in the preshow and launch area and fun ride with a great lauch. Fantasmic is the most amazing show ive ever seen and really rounds off a day at MGM. The general theming of the whole park is excellent and the Brown Derby is in my opinion the best restaurant I ate at during my holiday. The park has a great vibe and totally exceeded my expectation as i wasnt expecting to like it as much as Universal Studios.

I think it's safe to assume I love the Studios :earboy2:

All you Studios lovers should mosey on over to MGMStudios.Org and share your love of the Studios :3dglasses

too, its a very "busy" park. They have a group called Cut/sweat/and shears(I think that is what its called) and its a 4 man group, and boy can they play! I saw them on Sunday and in the past, they're great.

MGM is great. The street performers(very underrated part of the park I think), the big billboards, TOT, etc...
Good place to find different characters too including my favorite - Sorcerer Mickey. Now if I could just make into the hot seat one time at Millionaire.

Each time we go to the Studios, I find more & more to do and to love about it! My kids love Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, the Beauty and the Beast show, and the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. My DD and DH never miss Star Tours. Last fall, DD, who was 6-1/2 at the time, surprised me by really getting into the Indiana Jones show and enjoying the Backlot tour. I love ToT and RnR!!! We saw the Osbourne lights in 2002 and they were awesome! We saw Fantasmic! twice last fall -- awesome show! One of our favorite restaurants in WDW is in the Studios - the Brown Derby. We also really enjoyed Mama Melrose's too! My DS, who had just turned 3, adored Pizza Planet and Al's Toy Barn area. We met lots of characters on the back streets. We love the GMR, as both of my kids are Wizard of Oz fans. Also love the Muppets 3D show. The only thing that I can think of that we haven't done is the WWTBAM:PI. Funny, it was DH who didn't have an interest in "wasting" that much time! I think he was just afraid I'd beat him at it! ;)

I agree about the layout being strange. I used to get frustrated when I got turned around going from point A to point B. Last visit, I felt more at ease and relaxed more. I think this park is more relaxing, as there are more shows, so you get to sit more.

OH!!!!!! :goodvibes What a awesome TOPIC!!!

I ADORE  MGM Studios!! I love the music as you enter...it's just got the Hollywood sound that I love. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Hollywood, CA and since that is so far away and I cant go, MGM hits me right in the heart!!!

I love the shopping, Mickey's of Hollywood! Such a cute store!! I love all of the shops as a matter of fact, and on my way OUT, I save the best shop for last...SIDS! I could spend hours in there looking at all the star memorbilia, pics, and I always stare at the Framed Walt Disney paycheck!!!

I love the rides, GMR, Backlot Tour, and the others. I love Sunset and Hollywood BLVD....I love the topiaries and the landscaping!! Makes me just wanna sit on a bench with an eggroll and just stare into the park all day.

I wish they hadnt of taken out TIGGER Ave....when the TIGGER movie came out, they did a dedication street to him...it was SO CUTE!!! But, they changed it!

I love ONE MANS DREAM! OMG!!!! Gives me goosebumps!!!!

Anyway...I just love MGM!!! Great laid-back, chillin-out, easy on the eyes kinda park.

:)

I love MGM! Rock N Roller Coaster is the best! The best thing about MGM though is Star Wars Weekends! One week from today! :cool1: :cool1:

MGM Studios is my favorite by far. We really love to just sit on a bench in the evening, just before closing, and listen to the music and soak it all in. I even told DH that when I am too old to walk around the parks, he can just take me and "set me on a bench" :goodvibes

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!

Of couse I am a little partial b/c Belle is my 1st cousin :cool1: (atleast one of the Belle's that performs at B&B at MGM) She is the BEST one! ha

I love MGM. It is probably second only to EPCOT. But Fantasmic, as I have said all along is the best night show there. Absolutely, the greatest.

I loved Who Wants to Be a Millionaire...I looked forward to it for a two whole months before our trip and I made my family go there first on the first day of our trip last year. Unfortunately, once I got in the hot seat, I choked at 16,000. But it was still a great time.

I didn't make it on the fastest finger question. I was good at playing along with the person that won the fastest finger question so I got to be next in the seat. The secret is to start pushing the answer as soon as you see it, even before the host finishes reading the question. That way, as soon as the pads are activated, your answer goes in. You get bonus points for how fast you answer.

Disney-MGM Studios used to be my favorite park, but Epcot took over that crown over our last two trips. Still, there are many things I love about MGM - Here's my top 10 list:

10) Walking around in an empty park when there's two showings of Fantasmic. How can it be bad when everyone and their mom is watching the first showing of Fantasmic and you have the park to yourself?

9) The Chinese Theater - Love the replica, hate that plopped that hat down in front of it.

8) Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - Not the best coaster I've ever been on, but the rocket start is so much fun.

7) The Art of Disney Store - Sure, there's one at the Marketplace and at Epcot, but I love walking into this store after the Animation Tour. Sure, I won't ever buy anything, but I love to look at this stuff.

6) Muppets - Who can't love the Muppets? With MuppetVision 3D, fun abounds. Love the whole Muppet area.

5) The Great Movie Ride - Getting a little dated, but I love the intricate animatronics. I love this ride.

4) Voyage of the Little Mermaid - The best show in a Disney park. Love the puppets and the theater atmosphere.

3) One Man's Dream - Without him, there'd be no WDW.

2) Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - Interactive and fun. Visit it at least three times if not more each trip

1) Tower of Terror - Best ride on Disney property. Incredibly themed, incredibly thrilling - so, so great.
