I will never understand wanting to end a relaxing cruise vacation with making yourself stressed trying to make early flights/trains/etc.

Cos people have to get back to work.

Often the choice is not about taking an extra relaxing day at end of cruise or not. Its about taking a cruise with a rushed flight or no cruise at all.

Honestly I'd choose not to take that cruise. I don't stay an extra night, but I don't look for the first flight either. Early afternoon is perfectly fine.

Because what happens when you don't make that rushed flight? Even more stress and possibly not getting back home that day.

Well, if someone is having to take an unwisely early flight because of work, I'd think that missing that flight and not being able to get back to work would create stress.

Well, if someone is having to take an unwisely early flight because of work, I'd think that missing that flight and not being able to get back to work would create stress.

For some. First, most of the time you will make your flight. And if you dont, well, you just shrug your shoulder and so be it. No point getting stressed about it. You took a gamble and sometimes you lose. Pay the extra fee, tell your boss what happened and either take off an extra day of leave to cover being late or try to catch up with overtime or weekend work. In the grand scheme of things this really isnt much of a deal at all.
