Express Plus Availability

Ok ladies and gents, heres the deal.

I have read all the threads in this section, but I still have 1 question.

I am VERY interested in the express plus passes for Universal Orlando given the time of our stay (August 1-4). Given the short trip, I really need to get pass people in the crowded summer months.

I have learned a lot and I want to use my AAA card to get the lowest possible rate through Loews directly, as well as get my free welcome gift. Through the reading of this board, I think I'm going with RPR. Now to the question. Do I still have Express Plus attached to my key, or since I have to purchase tickets, will I need to pay extra for Express?

If I have to pay extra, is it cheaper to book through Universal given that Express tickets cost $51 a day?

Is the Express Plus Pass worth it to people that have used it in the past?

Which direction should I go here? I'm 23, my girl is 21, and its our first Universal trip. We did Disney for a week last August.

If you stay at Royal, Portofino, or Hard Rock, you don't have to pay extra for the Express Pass. It is free and unlimited. All you have to do is show your room key to the Universal employees working the lines.

Keep in mind that on your check out day, you can still use the express portion of your benefits. You can also leave your car parked in the hotel parking lot until you are finished with the parks on check out day.

late check out if available
free upgrades or upgrade at a cheaper cost

and a few more things....


it depends on the loews first level you have in order to receive the upgrades for free or late check out time.
platinum level can book the upgrade at the time the ressie is made.
all others can request at check in time.
