Are the express passes pretty worthwhile?

Anyway, the 2 park one is sold out, so I was going to buy an express pass for both parks individually (still available on my dates).

Is it ok to use an express pass individual park pass, for both parks, if you buy one for both parks??? Where do they scan the express pass?

See what I mean though? Since I can't get the 2 park one I'm going to get 2 of the single park express passes, is it ok to get them for the same day or does your ticket get tied to express pass and they can't use both of them?

Or is the express pass only scanned at entrance to lines?

Thanks!!!

When are you going? If it's going to be a busy time, Express Plus passes are invaluable but otherwise...not really worth it. The EP's are separate tickets that are scanned at each attraction so you can only use them once per attraction...they are not tied to your park tickets. I can't believe the EP's are sold out for when you want to go...that hardly ever happens.

I'm going in the summer. So do you think having an express pass dated the same date for both parks will work ok? Thanks.

Well...if you purchase EP, you will have to decide which day you want them for as they are non refundable and can not be changed. If you purchase 2 single park EPs, that would work fine but I would just buy them at each park...they are readily available at most stores at either park.

Ooops!!!!!

I was looking at the $40.99 tickets and my day is only $30.99!! ha-ha!!!

So could I even by the 2-park EP on the same day at the park itself or will it sell out?

Also, I thought about the VIP tickets they sound good too? One day admission to both parks plus unlimited express lines? $150 each. Pretty good it seems. How quick are the express lines? About about these VIP ones do you have to buy them long time before, or can buy at park first?

Thanks. I've never been to universal, just going for a day while at WDW. Appreciate the help.

The VIP EP's would be the best thing...if you can swing it since you're going in the summer and the lines will be pretty long. Since the VIP tickets require an actual date, if you're sure you want to do it, I would go ahead and get them. There are only a limited number of VIP tickets available on any given day.

We plan on going Thursday Sept. 17th 2009. Do you think DH and I would need to purchase an Express Pass?

do you think that i should get the vip pass for april 10, 2009 that is easter weekend? and it will be myself and my dd5

The VIP express pass for both parks costs $150 + tax.
The child VIP express pass is $140 + tax.

I wouldn' t pay that much for them.

For that over $300 you are paying for both of you to have unlimited FOTL, you would be better off staying on site for one night.

Then, you would be able to use the hotel key for FOTL for the day you are at the hotel and the day you check out.

That is 2 days of using the express lines for free.

Why are there different prices for the pass? Are all rides included for pass. I am going to be leaving my family at Disney one day and doing this myself (got free ticket). They have no intrest in Universal (too young). If I had express pass in June do you think that I could get whole park done in 1 day? I walk really fast. Do rides have single rider line?
Thanks

The VIP express passes are costly and do not have limitations.

the regular express pass plus charge is based for the date you buy them.

If the park is considered a lot attendance day, the prices for the epp will reflect that and be at a $19.99 charge for one park.

the higher the costs for the epp's indicate more in attendance for that date.

the epp do limit you to using them only once per ride and attraction.

There is a epp that are for 2 parks / 1 day.

If you get the EP you are get one ride on each ride, as others have stated, so you should be able to get both parks done in one day. The Hulk and Revenge of the Mummy both have single rider lines, as does Dr. Doom's Fearfall (one of my favorite rides). If you get there at park opening you can get some of the big attractions done with no wait and then use your Express Pass when it gets busy. Have fun!! I'll be there in June too, I'm really excited.

do you still have to buy a park ticket if you stay on property?
