Express Pass?

Hi! We are a group of 3 adults and two kids 3 and under. I haven’t been to universal in probably 10 years. We are planning on January 26-27. Staying offsite. We love all rides and want to see and experience most everything, but only once per ride. Some questions:
Do we need two days?
Do we need express pass?
Do I need to buy express pass for 3 year old?
What will waits generally be like at that time of year?
Basically any advice, tips,are welcome! Thank you!!

If you want to do both parks fully, I would do two days. We loved the express pass, but we stayed at Portofino to get it. I've never been during the time you are going so maybe someone will chime in on if it is needed then.

We were there the first week of February last year, so just a week after you, and found that express passes would have been a waste of money for that trip. We didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for anything. We have been 2 other times since then and found that they weren't needed then either, but would have been beneficial at least. They would have been basically pointless that first trip though.

You should allow 2 full days if you want to see/do everything. You should be fine w/o EP during those days but if the lines get too long for you, you can always purchase it at either park. I would just play that decision by ear.

in our experience, express pass seems to be only beneficial for the thrill rides and of minimal impact on other attractions. we always decided against getting them. in your case i also don't think it would be worth it

2 days, for sure. With park to park tickets.

I don’t think you would need express passes. Most of the headliner rides have a single rider line, definitely take advantage of those for the big coasters. I would do two days with park to park access.
