Late May/early June we plan to spend a couple of days at Universal. It will be our first time ever going to the park. We will be staying offsite so express pass is the only option we are considering.

We are not all coaster people. We enjoy all of the "little calm" rides as well and would like to meet any characters that are walking around. We enjoy the shops, etc. Basically we take it slow and smell the roses. If we don't see everything we plan to go back on the next trip down.

With all that said, I wasn't planning on buying Express Pass but now I'm slightly worried about being in the chaos of Diagon Alley. When they soft opened the first HP section, did that make the whole park more crowded or were people mainly there JUST for the HP section? Did all lines increase drastically or was the traffic jam in the HP section?

We were at the soft opening of WWoHP and it was not crowded at all.

I bought the express pass for both our days at the Universal parks in Mid june. Do y'all think it's worth it when we just have 1 day in each park? This will be our first trip to universal.

Keep in mind if Diagon Alley is open at that time you will need park to park tickets to ride the hogwarts train. If you are wanting to get the most out of each park it's def worth it to get the express passes.

Same here! And that was in June of that year. Express was most handy for the big coasters and rides but a few of those didn't accept it at the time either.

Thank you for informing me of the park to park issue for the train! I will HAVE to ride the train! Haha I guess I need to get on the ball with my Universal research!

Your welcome! They have stated they will have booths at each park so people can upgrade at the ride but to me seems better not to have to do that and already have that taken care of and avoid another possible line.
