Express pass ?

Alright, so I know I have some questions before and i appreciate the knowledge you guys are sharing since this will be my first trip to Universal.
The wife and I have express passes for Sunday, Nov 30th. That is is the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Here is my question. At what point do you use the express pass since you can only use it once for each ride. How long would the wait have to be for you to use it? If the wait is only 10 minutes then I don think I should use it. Comments....

Personally...I wouldn't use it if the wait time was under 30 mins. I can wait in a line for that long but that's me.

If you aren't staying onsite, you can purchase the Express Plus passes at either park. The price varies depending upon the anticipated crowd level that day and is good for express access ONCE per ride. You can also purchase them online but I would wait to see if you really need them for the day you're going. If you are staying onsite, you get unlimited Express access for the duration of the stay.
