Express pass rides

I'm new to the Universal Parks system and heard about an Express Pass that enables you to wait in shorter ride lines. My question is: Is this pass good on all rides or a select few (and which ones, if so)?

It is on almost every ride. The only ride I can think of off the top of my head without express is Pternadon Flyers in Islands of Adventure.

It allows you one express pass ride per ride (except for Pteranadon flyers)

Express works in the following manner(s):

1)Stay at an onsite hotel (HRH, RPR, PBH). Your room key gets you UNLIMITED express at participating attractions for all the days on your room key--checkout day included. This is the most expensive option. This option is NOT valid for specially ticketed events, such as HHN or Rock the Universe.

2)Purchase an Express Plus (do they still call it that?). This pass allows ONE express entry per attraction. These passes are park specific. You can't use an IOA one at USF. The passes also have the date they're valid on them. The cost of this varies depending on the season. It can be as little as $15/person and as expensive as $50/person.

Combo passes, which are only available during the slower seasons, allow one express entry per attraction at both parks. This option is more expensive and often starts at $25/person.

Express plus is sometimes available for specially ticketed events, but the cost will be closer to the $50/person price, especially for HHN peak nights.

3)VIP tour. This starts at around $125/person, but you get FOTL access, not just express access. This option also allows you to learn all sorts of info about the park, the attractions, etc, as the tour guides are very well informed. VIP tours are available for all events and book up fast for HHN.
