Express Pass Question

We're going to US/IOA in August. It's me, my husband, our 9 year old and our 2 year old. Would it be worth it to get the express passes for one or both of the theme parks? Or would it be worth it to get it for just my husband and our older son (I'm not big on rollercoasters).

We've never been before so I'd like advice from someone who has been there, especially at this time of the year!

i always say, don't buy the express plus pass before you go to the park.

they are date and park related and non refundable.
you can't use them on any other day except for the date you purchased them for.

if it rains, crowds thin out, this means limited waiting lines for rides.


if you go at the end of august, the park will not have crowds.
crowds tend to thin out in the end of the third week.

hours are cut back during this time period also.

i gather you are staying off site.

go early and hit the parks running...........


if you go at a very busy time, decide if that epp is worth it for your husband and son.
the beginning of august thru end of third week is busy in the parks.
hours are longer in that period.

check out the online UO park map and see what rides and shows you are interested in doing.
you might see that the epp would be an unnecessary expense if you are not interested in all the rides in a certain park.

the epp is valid for a one time use only per ride and show.


the entire family can go thru the line ride and then use the child swap program. that way you all can stay together as a family then split up when it is time for the ride.
the child swap rooms are a/c so that would be better than standing out near the ride in the heat.
