My DH and I would like to purchase the Express Pass Plus for one day at Universal and one day at IOA. We will be there from September 4th-5th, which is Labor Day weekend and I'm assuming it will be very crowded! I am a newbie when it comes to Universal/IOA and want to know the best way to get the Express Pass Plus...should we get them once we get to the park? I'm just afraid they might run out. Should I order them from Universal now and pick them up when we get there? If I do order them, should I get them directly from Universal or are there other websites that might sell them for less? I'd like to purchase them cheaper if possible, but am afraid that the place I end up choosing won't be legit...how can you tell?

thanks for your advice.

Hi Laura
I ordered mine direct from the universalorlando.com site. Choose the vacations tab, tickets only. You'll have to put in dates and choose "go". The Express Plus Passes are on the add-on items section in the list. Be careful with the dates and which passes for which dates. You do need to fill in the names, but they are not printed on the passes. I ordered 2 for US and 2 for IOA for different days for my son and I. They came quickly in the mail, but they sent me 4 for the same day on both parks. They saw the mistake when I called and were more than happy to fix the problem. I just sent back the 2 incorrect ones. But, after I sent them, I decided to stay at RPR and I wouldn't need them anymore since I'll have FOTL with my room key. I called and explained to them and they said "no problem" send back the other two and we'll credit your card. ::yes:: I was amazed and pleased as they do say "non refundable" and I did point that out, but again "no problem". Man, was I happy! :) That's $87 dollars back into my spending money. Here is the number too, just in case 800-711-0080. Maybe you can order over the phone too. I do agree with your though, I would get them before going as I know that they do sell out quite often.
Good luck!!!

I must be missing a step. I cannot figure out how to get to the Express Plus option. If I choose the vacations tab - it does not give me a "tickets only" option. Help!:(

Go to the website: www.univacations.com - on the upper right side of the screen will be the tab that says tickets only - enter your dates and & of people and hit Search. Then hit go at the next screen and Express Pass Plus tickets will be one of the first options!

Thanks so much to Tink03477 for this little secret - when I called, they said I had to get them at the park and they'd be $37 each, instead of the $21 on the website!

You're welcome ScotLady!
How'd you do Tink61, did you find the correct site and tab?
Sorry my explanation didn't work right away, I did it from memory. The "tickets only" tab is there, upper right corner. Let me know how you make out! I would defineatly get them before leaving if you have time.

Thank you both. You explained it right - I'm just a dufus. I was looking at the very top of the screen instead of the two tabs underneath. I completely missed it. But, my express passes come up as $37.50 for my dates (Dec. 18 - 22). Just my luck  But thanks for the info.:D

Dear all.

This is my first time posting here..so pls bear with me if I asked some "similar or stupid" questions...:)

Me and my wife will be going this Labor Day weekend too, but I am not sure

1) whether it's worth getting the Express Pass?

2) Since it's date specific, that means if in a raining day, we still got to use it.....so...what's ur opinion on that?

3) Since I have limited time, if I were to get it, the best way is to call to order that and pick that up at the counter? The last time the sales agent told me it was like $21 ++ per person per day, right?

Pls advise...

Thanks in advance

Sky - Labor weekend will be crowded (hurricane pending). So - yes it will be worth it. As for the other ?s, I'll leave up to the experts on these boards. Or, you can call the Universal # and the agents can surely answer.:)

With Frances being 300 miles wide there is a good chance that Friday night and Saturday could be a little rough in Orlando. I'd wait and buy express passes there.

Is the Halloween Horror Nights Express good for the rides and the houses? I actually called US to ask them and the guy I spoke to knew NOTHING!. He said "I'm reading the memo and I'm not sure" AGGHHHH

Last year and all previous years, the express pass plus was good for all houses and all attractions.
