Express Pass - Fast Pass

i was hoping someone could help me out.

I am planning on going to Universal on my next Orlando Trip. The last time I was there was in 05.

I remember that there was an express pass that you could purchase, but there was also a machine that you could put your ticket in next to some of the rides to elimate wait time- much like the fast pass at WDW.

Is this still the case?

Must have been right after your trip...but they took out the free EP (like FP at WDW) out. The only way to get EP is to purchase it or stay at an onsite hotel...sorry
