And i got scared.... and then.....

oh, i just love the way you say that Metro...........

And I got really scared. :scared1:

Is the Express pass the same as hotels guest FOTL privilege?

Well, not exactly. Both guests with a purchased Express pass and hotel guests use the same Express line, but the purchased Express pass allows you 1 use of Express per ride while the hotel guests have unlimited use of Express.

DH told me it was a good thing I didn't come the other day because there was a Mardi Gras crowd and the Express lines in general were out of control (I was at home working). Mummy and MiB were ridiculous. They need to stop the cost-cutting cutbacks on the Mardi Gras days because it just disgruntles people.

I do have to say that SeaWorld is pretty bad at loading Kraken (although it's an awesome coaster...I love it as much as Hulk!). When we were there, for much of the day they only ran one train so the line was crazy. Then they added a second train, but they took nearly as long to load it anyway. Sigh. I can't wait till Manta opens...between that and Uni's new coaster it's gonna be a great summer (well, maybe not so great line-wise...I wonder if Uni will solve the problem by just not opening Express on RRR for a while).

They need to stop the cutbacks on all days imo. Paying over $200 to stay onsite and will probably only get to ride one side of the track now. I also get to miss Twister during trip because they decide to close it. If lines are over 15 mins for me in any ride I will be a very upset person on vacation.

We were at Sea World on 2/16 and I agree that they have trouble loading Kraken. 9 times out of 10 the train on the track had to wait to return to the station until the train in the station left. This probably added about 10 minutes onto the wait time. Not a lot in the scheme of things but it seems a lot longer when your waiting.

We were at USF over president's weekend.
As far as cost cutting that we noticed...

ET was only running one loading station
Only one side of the train was running in Seuss (this was on Fri and Tues)
Only one side of MiB although i attribute that to the early hours (before 10am)
Only running one boat between the hotel and city walk even during peak morning and evening hours.

I don't know if this is cost cutting related or not but DD was extremely slow to load and dispatch (not enough people on hand to check restraints?). They were not even making an attempt to synchronize the two sides.

:confused3

Well I understand that they have to cut things back because of the economy BUT...... Somethings they are doing are going to hurt them in the end. The reason we booked on site was to get the FOTL, that is what they even advertise to get you to stay on sight. Then they now decide to start taking that away from you on certain rides?? What is the point of staying on site then?? It sure isn't the PRICE!!! Since booking our first trip to US/IOA, I have heard nothing but cut backs and closing rides but nothing at WDW??? They are slow as well because I read they are starting to cut back but not on the rides in which is the main reason the crowds are still coming. I was VERY disappointed that they closed Twister because of the economy and I have now heard also the rumor about T2?? Considering US/IOA doesn't have the amount of rides in their parks compared to WDW, you are going to notice it MUCH more. I just hope that when our trip is over, I don't regret switching from WDW to US/IOA this year????

I agree. I would imagine there are better ways to cut costs then to make the ticket value less. I imagine they assume since next year it will be crazy they can do whatever they want now and with the new rides they will attract the crowds.

I've always found Dueling Dragons to be a slow line (not enough trains on the track, slow dispatching..)..

But if I can't use Express to ride Fire, I will start one.

Reminder: If you're disappointed with the cuts/way things are going on, be sure to stop by Guest Services. Letting GS know helps management know how you--they paying customer--feel about (whatver it is you have to say, good or bad)

Also, if you see a survey person, go ahead and take the survey. The info they receive from you is also brought to the appropriate management's attention.

Good lord, I hope T2 isn't next on the chopping block. It's the best and cleverest 3-D show I know. My 12 year old nephew is still raving out how cool it was that they ran in and out of the screen, and it's not easy to impress video game-obsessed kids of that age these days. But it takes multiple actors so it's probably high overhead.....
