Hi -

as many of you will know, we're suckers for the DLH and Castle Club. But on arrival day, you often don't really get your money's worth, and we sometimes just want to swim and relax.

As a result, in planning our next trip we thought we might leave UK lunchtimeish, and go to one of the marne la vallee hotels for the first afternoon / night. Transfer to DLH first thing the next day and have two nights there.

Does anyone have any prefs across the three hotels? First look seems to suggest dream castle, as explorers seems to be more expensive - is that generally the case?

We'd basically want the hotel for a nice swim, bit of a relax, a meal (although we might go over to the village) and a good nights sleep before hitting the parks the following day.

I'd be really grateful for the thoughts of anyone who's stayed in any of these

We stayed at the Dream Castle for 4 nights in May. We had a lovely time - apart from the massive thunderstorm on the 2nd night! The hotel and theme was brillant. If it's just somewhere to rest your head I'd recommend this hotel.

You can also find both the Dream Castle and the Explorers on the Benotel booking site.

I know exactly what you mean about staying somewhere else for a night first.
We have booked 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday next month at Explorers through Benotel. It worked out much cheaper than Expedia or through the Explorers or Holiday Inn sites. We could ahve got it cheaper at one of the 4 associated hotels (think it was Kyriad) but there didnt seem to be a swimming pool and we wanted one as we intend to have a day chilling after the long journey there and before hitting the parks
We have stayed before at both Holiday Inn and Explorers and liked them both. We would be happy staying at either again but felt Explorers felt more like being in Disney as it was more themed. Also the pool there was great for children and there was a great indoor play area.
I also liked the bar area better - the one at Holiday Inn reminded me somehow of an airport lounge.

I haven't stayed in explorers or dream castle but i have stayed in the holiday inn for the last 3 years and i'm going back again next week. Its a nice hotel with big rooms i've never found anything to complain about there!

I would take the holiday inn as I like it best.
