This morning DD9 sat at the breakfast table asking me if I could have more babies. I said well physically I can, but I have birth control so that I don't. She knows that I go every so often and get a shot in the butt, and she knows its to prevent pregnancy.
So then it was can DBF have kids? Nope he cant he had an operation to prevent getting a woman pregnant. "hows that work?" So I explained that the tube is cut, and sorta sewn shut. So the sperm, no longer enters the womans body.
What about a woman, can they get cut and sewn? Yup, Aunt Michelle had the surgery for that, its called a tubal ligation. But how does that work she asked? so out came the book- showed her the ovaries, the falopian tubes etc...
DD8 walks by and says "okay thats just plain gross put that stuff away"
DD9 asked then if there is more than just a shot, to keep a woman from getting pregnant, and i explained there is a pill, iud, ring, etc... she asked about men, and I said- well yeah, the condom prevents men from getting women pregnant. She says "why is there so much for women, but only that for men?"
ugh cant really explain that but good question kid!
