Explain the Kohl's Cash thing to me please

In the past (years ago) I received individual things that said $10 on each.

This time, I received an email with all $60 on it.

Do I have to spend it all at once or can I spend $30 one day and have a balance of $30 still on it?

You don't have to use it all at once, but you do have to use it all during the redemption period. If you only use, for example, $50 of it today, they will put it through the register and the new printout will show the remaining balance. Just be sure to use the rest of it before the expiration date.

YMMV.....but the Kohls that I shop at will take the cash even after the expiration date. I was told it was an unwritten policy.

Actually, in my store, it's in writing by the customer service desk that they will accept expired Kohl's cash - "ask for details".

I used part of mine Kohls cash yesterday, decided to purchase a Christmas gift. I also had a 30% off coupon, my mistake thought I could use both at the same time, while turns out I couldn't. Forgot that the 30% off coupon had to be used with the Kohls credit card and since I was using Kohls cash only the 30% coupon came up as 0% off. I was disappointed but, I looked at it as Kohls cash was free money, we received it when we purchased our rug doctor machine.

you can use your 30% and kohl's cash at the same time. The only catch is the dollar discount come off first, the 30% will only come off of whatever is left after you use your Kohl's cash. ie- I buy $100 worth of merchandise, redeem $50 in Kohl's cash and then I get 30% off bringing my total down to $35

One more question.

The item I ordered has not arrived yet, but I am realizing I may have ordered one that won't fit as I thought it would.

Can I exchange it and not have to return and then re-buy (ie: keeping my 30% off and Kohl's cash?)

Or do I have to return it, lose the Kohl's cash, and then re-order the one that is the right size?

If it is the exact same item but a different size you can do what is called an even exchange at any register. If not I would return it but ask for a merchandise credit that way you keep ur ohls cash and don't have anything deducted ESP if you are going to turn around and buy something else.

I was told they will give you a merchandise credit when you return the item. They just want to be sure you use the money at Kohls. If you want cash, they will deduct the amount of the Kohls cash from the refund.

You absolutely can use Kohl's cash after the expiry date, but you must tell the cashier before the items are rung up, as they have to manually put the discount in on an itemized basis.

Eg. I had $60.00, and she broke it up in small increments of $10.00, $10.00, $20.00 and $20.00.

You also must spend more than the value of your coupon, so that way, they know that they can manually take those deductions, as they are not allowed to owe you any money.

Ok, but then if it is a different item, I wouldn't be able to get the 30% off the other item, right? Which would be over $100 more.

It is a mixer. I ordered it and got $130 off with the 30% off with your Kohl's charge plus the Kohl's cash.

If I return it, I will get a credit for what I spent, but when I order the smaller mixer, I can't get the 30% off the new one, right, since I am not using my Kohl's charge????

I should have measured more carefully. I am hoping it will still work, but if it doesn't, I think I will lose out I think.
