If we would stay at CSR, we would likely get the dining plan. I have been reviewing Pepper Market, which appears to be their food court?? And, normally, the meals in the food courts at resorts are counter service meals on the DDP. Is the same true at Pepper Market? I mean- some meals are $15.95! I can't imagine that a counter service credit would cover that, plus a drink and dessert!- Would it? And speaking of desserts, anyone know what desserts are offered there?

And while I'm asking all of these questions... my DH is not a big mexican food fan. Will he be happy eating at Pepper Market? I see that there are other options like pasta and chinese. Opinions please!

Yes, it's all included on the DDP. Best value at WDW!! Some of the bigger desserts are not included but that's okay with me. There are multiple stations, not just mexican. You can get a ribeye or prime rib, burgers, Italian, chinese, pizza, sandwiches and much more.

Yes, Pepper Market is a CS on the dining plan. You get your choice of entrees, drink and dessert. As Mickey23 said the desserts are limited but pretty good. When I was there we could get a pastry or a dish of the hot dessert which was some apple thing. We went ther on a slow night so I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food but I'm sure it was because they were slow and the food was sitting around a little more than usual.

O.K> Great information to know...but- I see that there is an automatic 10% gratuity (service charge, whatever...) added to meals at Pepper Market. Is that also included in the counter service credit of the DDP? Man! What a deal when I think of what I got at POP! Any other reviews on the quality of the food served there would be good to know, too!

Are the breakfast options similar/same to what is at POP? Reviews on the breakfast food as well. Thanks for all of the help!

We didn't do breakfast, so I can't comment. I have a hard time seeing how the food sat out, though, as they cook it to order. Maybe that was the pasta? (We didn't do that either.) Tip is included in the CS, no hidden charges anywhere. Desserts were really good, but not anything fancy. They have a bakery cart with Pecan Sticky buns, cookies (about 5 inches across!), pastries and such. As for food, the kids can pick pizza, pasta, or hot dog. Adults can pick Mexican (taco salad, quesadilla, etc), oriental, grill (steaks, burgers, chicken, etc), italian, or sandwiches, and a dessert from the cart. We were there last June, and anything on the cart was included in the dessert. It was the best CS food there, hands down! And the portions were HUGE!

I will say Pepper Market is a little hard to navigate the first time you go. They seat you and take your drink order (that is where the tip comes in). Then you walk around to the stations to place your order, and wait for your food. It was difficult with kids, but I had them sit us at a table where I could see them from the food lines. Overall, a wonderful place to eat. BTW - CSR is truly fabulous! You will love it if you do stay there!

This all sounds great! I'm interested to hear about breakfast at PepperMarket too.

We stayed at CSR recently and only ate once at PM -- breakfast one morning. We thought the quality of the food was poor -- most of it seemed to have been under heat lamps for hours. For breakfast anyway, they don't cook it to order. They just open a warming drawer and slap it on the plate. IMO, McDonald's Big Breakfast is far superior. Needless to say, we didn't care whether the portions were huge.

Also, the entire set up is very confusing. If you pick up something that isn't on the DDP, the prices are ridiculous -- like $3 for 10 grapes in a cup. Of course, the grapes were set out where children could reach them, with no cover on the cup. I looked over and DC was fingering the grapes. Great, no choice but to buy it! But, I couldn't help wondering how many kids had fingered the grapes, but parents refused to buy the cup anyway. Yuck! So, we bought the grapes, but certainly didn't eat them.

Worst of all is the service. After sitting at our table for some time, we had to actually walk over and interrupt our server's conversation with another server in order to get coffee. Since they get 10% no matter what, they appeared, IMO, to have no interest whatsoever in serving us.

After that, we let CS credits go unused rather than hazard another meal at PM.

I have become a die hard fan of The Pepper Market. We ate there 3 meals and a breakfast while we stayed at CSR earlier this month. I think the food was always really good and really fresh (we watched them make it for us every time) and the value for the CS is unheard of! The dessert are only limited to not inclue a few items in the cold case there, bu the selection of danishes, cookies and rolls and things was ample enough esp. with all the food you get for a CS. Rice crispie treats and banana bread up by the registers counts as a dessert as well and they were good to take along to the parks with you.

This is the breafast skillet from the mexican station. Luckily we shared it 'cause it was HUGE!

Kat... you're pics are wonderful! I can't wait to go back there in June. I had a quesadilla there last summer that I couldn't eat half of, let alone touch the refried beans!
