Explain linking everyone together to a WDW regular

Ok, so we’re taking our first trip to Disneyland as WDW regulars this October and the whole app situation is very confusing to me. These will probably be dumb questions but if anyone has any insight that can help I would appreciate it.

First thing first, we booked 2 separate good neighbor packages. One for me and a couple friends and my sister booked one for her family. I’ve linked their reservation confirmation to my account and been able to make park reservations but it had me do each package separately. Is this going to be a problem when we try to do Genie+ at the parks? Is there a way to link both parties together as one group?

Second, I was able to get all 6 of us OBB tickets as well. How do the tickets work on the night of? As of right now they are all on my app. Will they just scan everyone’s ticket from my phone or is there something I need to do for everyone else to add them to their own app? I’m a WDW regular trying to learn Disneyland ways and keep getting very confused about the whole linking everyone process.

Also the only tickets I can see under tickets and passes are the OBB tickets. None of the others are there yet which from what I read sounds like they will show up 4 days before? Will the park tickets also only be on my app? How do my friends use their Magicband+ for their tickets if everything is only on my account?

Disneyland tickets can be linked to the app by multiple people/phones. If all the tickets are linked on your phone, you should have no issue scanning everyone present in at the turnstile using just your one phone. The others can choose to also link their tickets to their own phone if the party plans to split up in the parks (and tap into LLs separately, for example).

One thing to keep in mind is if you're scanning in multi-day tickets, the order may get messed up between tickets and photo taking. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but some people's names may get swapped. Just make sure everyone keeps the same ticket since they ultimately match the photo (not the name) associated with the ticket. 🤣

Haha ok! Sounds like that could be a little messy but if we all link the tickets to our own accounts and they scan from their own phone that should avoid that issue right?

Another question, are the barcodes dynamic or would screenshots work just as well?

If you have a large party, that option is more fool-proof, yes. Otherwise, just be on top of the ticket ordering on the first day to make sure the CM matches each ticket with the right person when they take the photo. ;)

The barcodes *should be* static (I've printed tickets out beforehand as a backup), but I haven't tried using a screenshot before!
