Explain Carbs- fibers please?

Can you do this with all items...if it has a fiber subtract it to get actual carbs???
 
If your body tolerates sugar alcohols you can deduct those from the total carb count too. Not everyone can tolerate sugar alcohols. I'm one of the lucky ones :)
