Expiring passport

We are going to WDW on December 2, 2011. We are flying out of Buffalo, NY and our passports expire March 2012 will we have any trouble crossing the border? We are only going for 1 week.

According to Passport Canada:

Many countries require passports to be valid for a number of months beyond the date of a visitor's entry. For that reason, before travelling to a country, ensure that your passport will be valid long enough by contacting the consular mission of the country you plan to visit. It is recommended that your passport be valid beyond your expected date of return home.

Since you are traveling in December for only 1 week and your passport doesn't expire until March, you should be fine.

No you shouldn't have any problems since you are flying out of Buffalo.

The 6-month validity stipulations generally apply when you are travelling to an international destination...ie: Mexico..Dominican

The only time you will go through customs is at the Border. You will just go through security at the airport.....you are flying domestically.... US to US destination there for just Gov. issued ID is required to get through Security...

My passport expired and I used my expired passport to cross a few times until I had the time to go get my new one..the only thing they say is "Oh..you will need to renew your passport as it has expired, i'm not sure if you realized that or not".

I'm in the same boat, travelling in Sept 2012 & my passport expires in Dec. My cousin works for at the border in Sarnia & I asked him to make sure & he said that it will be fine. The 6 month thing doesn't apply for Canadians travelling to the US, I checked the US government website & it says it right on the info page that the 6 month rule does not apply to Canadians.
