This summer I tossed about 6 bottles of well expired salad dressing (one from 2009) from my friend's fridge. She's always been a truly scary cook, but the 2009 salad dressing was a real shock.

Yes, this was a big news story today.

No way would I toss salad dressing which "expired" in April. As long as it has been refrigerated after opening, it's fine.

OP, was this a brand new bottle, never opened? Or was it a bottle that had been used before and was in the refrigerator? That makes a difference in what people would do as well.
