EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

On another subject but related - has anyone ever had tea served by Martin at the YC room service?? We had him this weekend and he was the best CM (next to Richard at GF) I have ever met.. A delight and gave my daughter a great tea lesson!

Never heard of it! My dd would have loved that when younger.

Oh I had Richard at gf last november:thumbsup2

DD is almost 17 and has really started liking all the little things like tea service.
Martin explained about a tea pocket British Officers had..he brought an orchid for her to steep with the tea for flavor.

Anyone who has morning room service should ask for Martin.. Totally worth it!!

DD age 22 may decide to join us on our trip 11/21, which is great, but magic bands just arrived and dining and fast passes are booked!! If this does happen, will this be a time when I should call or email IPO and ask them for help adding her and see if they can make it happen? I'm affriad if I do it I will lose all my reservations? Thanks in advance!

I know they can add to FP. Also, I had this past trip booked months ago and DH didn't have a ticket. DD and I had all our FP's set so when we bought DH's ticket, we went to the ride FP line and they would include DH right there. We had no issues at all

Do any of y'all know what kind of coffee they offer in the lounges? I know silly question but heard raves about joffrey coffee so that made me curious. :)

YC lounge has Nespresso machine, with a milk steamer/frother option. The vats are Joffreys.

Thank you so much! I kinda liked the nesoeesso machines last time (SL in 2013) so I am glad they will have both. Do you recommend bringing our refillable mugs? Not doing dining plan this time.

They have tons of transportable cups available so I wouldn't bring the mug. I also know they don't want folks to use their own water bottles to fill so the mugs may fall into this category.

can you tell what size those disposable mugs are and if they are only available in the am. I purchased those disposable mugs because I take natural supplements in the am that I mix with juice or lemonade so I was going to grab some juice during the day and keep it in my fridge for the first thing in the am.

Please bring your reusable mug; I am sure they won't mind. WDW has a bad enough impact on our environment so avoiding the disposable cups is one thing we can do to reduce that impact.

That's weird, when i was there last they told me to go buy a refillable water bottle so I could bring water back to my room because they didn't have bottled water any more.

Hello and thank you for your patience! 1st post. : ) I just returned home last night from 9 days at WDW. It was a dream. Normally, I do DL and a lot of it but my kids are now of age- 5 & 3 to venture further.

I booked BC CL Deluxe room with Deluxe DP yesterday, for same week in October 2015, before we checked out (it was that or start crying!!). Here is my dilemma:

Should I change the res to GF CL Standard Room (Sugar Loaf CL) with regular Dining Plan OR keep the BC CL with Deluxe Dining Plan.

Here are my thoughts:

Price- is the same, a couple hundred less for GF due to less dining plan

Food- Deluxe DP is a lot. BUT we used it all with signature dining which we do a lot of. However, the CL offerings at GF look substantial enough to get away with the regular mixed use DP. Plus, I ALWAYS book tea at GF anyway; it's my Favorite, and it looks like there's a pm Tea Service of sorts.

Location- I LOVE GF and am contemplating the DVC (so this may be moot). I love the vibe. location, everything. I was meant to be born a radical in the Victorian era. : ) vs. I LOVE EPCOT! and the BC gets you right into the World Showcase (its during the Food & Wine too!) I've never been to the BC though. Also, GF has restaurants we'd go to and close to MK.

Activities- We will have a 4 & 6 yo in tow. Swimming is the thing. Both resorts have beaches. But is the pool better at BC? Vibe for kids? Is it smothered in kids already?

Bottom line- I need to either find peace or make the switch today before its gone. Should we split? Is that super headachey? What say ye Internets? I am do grateful for your wisdom!!

Delayed reaction- : ) - Thank you all so much for your feedback. I kind of got absorbed into these boards and have decided to buy dvc resale because of my wandering! ANYWAY- I've decided to stay at BC and added a night. My rationale is that in dong so I can have it all (except the GF of course)- Walk right into the Parisian breakfast (that i missed this year because it sells right out!) Have water and snacks and a great pool AND the deluxe dining plan. Which really is a lot of fun. Plus, now I look and that room is gone and of course that makes you feel validated. haha.

Now, I'm looking into some GF DVC points that are listed and have been priming my husband.

Again, thanks so much!

Has anyone stayed at YC CL lately? Just curious to see if they are still doing the wine cart or not? We stayed in August and I didn't like the new format for serving alcohol. Also, cm's seemed to be "monitoring" alcohol intake. Are they still serving the very small servings of yogurt for breakfast?

We were just there from 10/19-10/24 and can tell you they still have the cart BUT I'll also tell you that we NEVER felt like we were being monitored and actually didn't mind being served at all.

We'd have a few drinks in the lounge...no issues. We'd ask for a couple of beers to take back to our room, again...no issues. And on a few evenings DH would ask them to pour some bailey's on the rocks in a styrofoam cup "to go" as we'd head out for the night and we were always accommodated AND they often gave him a more than generous pour :).

I was so unsure about the cart after reading some negative reviews that I even said something during check-in. Both CM's along with a manager who happened to overhear the conversation assured us we'd have no issues and we didn't at all. As for the yogurt, yes they did have the tiny little cups but we did see a few folks ask for and get a regular serving size container.

I actually will admit that the YC CL has quickly become our favorite so far :goodvibes.

We're staying YC CL starting on the 11th. I booked Garden View - is there anything I should put on my room request at check-in? I mean, is there any room that we'd really rather not get, and I can say some magic word to avoid - or any GV room that's really better, to say a magic room to get? :)

Or don't worry and all will be fine? I will be reading this thread, but wanted to put my question in while I read. Thanks, all.:surfweb:

I think there are only something like 4 garden view CL rooms. Or at least a very small number like that. Don't think I'd bother with any requests since they have so few rooms to assign you to.

I hate to disappoint, but there is no way that it was the Joffrey's, unless the person who told you likes what I'd call incredibly average coffee. Now, the Nespresso machines (the espresso machines) make very good Americanos, and actually are something to look forward to. :thumbsup2 Unfortunately, they're not in every CL lounge.
