Has anyone ever been turned away for presenting a FP after the designated time?

We rarely use FP but think we may need to this trip and ever one is telling us they NEVER check the window on the return time as long as it is after the time it is good for. Just hate to hold them and they not be good. What are your experiences?

No, I've never been turned away for using a fastpass past its designated window time on the same day. Although there many stories circulating (none officially confirmed) that Disney is about to change this and only accept fastpasses during their designated window. As of the beginning of this month it hasn't happened yet.

No. The closest we came was getting lectured about it.

Never, and I've done it many times. Even as far as having a noon fastpass and showing up at 8:00pm.

Never been refused, corrected, scolded, warned, admonished, shunned, banned, lectured or kicked out. And I don't feel one but guilty or in violation of the rules by showing up past the one hour window. :goodvibes

It is Disneyland and WDW policy to accept for use a FP on the same day that it is issued, any time after its earliest Return Time that day.

:thumbsup2 Same here. But mostly had to comment on your Lebron things here...another :thumbsup2!!! (As a fellow N E Ohioian)

We've never had a problem using fastpasses past their one-hour window.

In fact, we were just at the Magic Kingdom on December 19, for evening EMH from 12:00-3:00 am. All the fastpass machines we checked during EMH were turned off - so they were not giving out fastpasses for EMH. However, all the fastpass lines were open - so they were accepting fastpasses during EMH. This tells me clearly that Disney has no problem accepting fastpasses after the window is up, because all the fastpasses they were accepting during EMH would have been "expired".

I think when the FP lines are open during EMH, FP would have been available at the beginning of EMH, but FP will be gone very quickly. Therefore, it doesn't necessarily mean they are accepting late FP.

But, as has been posted, it is Disney policy to accept late FP, on the day they are issued.

I'm sure we are the anomaly - it was during Food and Wine (busy) 2008 or 2010 - it was on Soarin (the only ride its been a problem!)

SAME DAY, THREE HOURS LATE!

We went through the first check - but that 2nd area where they take the FP told us no - and he actually followed us (I thought he was kidding smiled and kept walking, dh and dd knew he meant it!)

I was so shocked I did ask to see a manager - and I was told they often cannot accept late FP - since we had a medical reason why we were late - nope, didnt matter..

I have posted this several times on this board, and no one but us has this happened to - its like I'm making it up, but because of it, dh refuses to let me do the late FP thing! Drives me crazy

The Fast Pass issue is like The Code of the Order of the Brethren....."the code is more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner. "

Never been turned away.

ETA: No self-appointed FP police yet? ;)

We, personally, have had mixed results. The year we had an AP to WDW DH and I had about an 80% success with expired FPs... never same ride and various times of the year.

We took DD to DL when she was 18 months and had no issues with late returns -- usually it was a matter of minutes and the CMs would always make a joke like "the little ones can make it hard, huh?"

When we went back to DL last year, we had a FP issue that had me angry -- DD was JUST tall enough to ride Soarin', so we grabbed a FP and got in the 10 minute line. We came back during our FP window and DD didn't measure up. We had played this game with ToT on this trip already and just figured we'd go ride something and try again later. When we came back an hour or so later, we went to FP line. DD measured up but CM wouldn't let us in because our FP window expired. I explained "DD wouldn't stand straight and we missed height last time, so we figured we would come back and try." CM smirked and said DD was fine height-wise and that we have to ride during the window or it messes up the system. I was beyond upset and a CM in a suit happened by and asked what was going on. When we explained it, he pulled us aside and explained the FP 'open window' is sort of an accepted trend but not law. He apologized for CM's reaction and gave us FP for Soarin' and ToT.

Sorry, I know this was long, but I was amazed that 15 minutes created such drama... I was patient about the 40" game, but the FP issue just drove me bonkers!!!

We just returned and always used our Fast Passes later than the times printed on them. Not once did a CM say anything to us.

Yes, I myself was told by more than one CM (after I asked, the info was not just offered), that they would start enforcing the return time "very soon". That was early October....no change yet!
