Hi! We went to DW in August 2024 and had DAS. We are planning another trip for February 2025 and was wondering, do I need to reapply for DAS ? I thought I read somewhere that they are extending the expiration time, but not sure.

Yes you do need to reapply. Are you an AP or are these date based tickets? My understanding is the updated 240 days is for APs who were approved on or after they made the change. People approved prior were only approved for 120 days (or less if date based ticket).

Hi! No not an AP. Thank you!

Did you have date based tickets? There are some other non date based tickets (military, conference, etc). But either way I think you will need to apply as they aren’t just extending all those approved for 120 to 240.

Yes, date based tickets. So sounds like I'll need to reapply. Thanks for the info!

DAS is valid for length of ticket or 240 days, whichever is shorter. That 240 recently changed from 120 but only on a go-forward basis, not retro to prior approvals. Assuming you had regular date-based tickets, your DAS will be expired before February and yes you will need to re-register.

Hi - sorry, but just to confirm. We are AP who were approved or DAS starting in Aug 2024, which is the same day our AP's were activated. We have a trip planned in Nov (which we are covered for from the previous 120 days), then another in April 2025, which would barely fall under the 240 days. But since we were approved before they made the change, if we want to request DAS for the April 2025 trip, we will have to re-apply, correct?
