expert planners -- need some help for Oct trip

hi all me and family are planning a trip for last week in oct -- hoping for free dining….it will be me and hubby and 3 boys 12, 8 and 4.

looks like we will have 5 days of park days -- we are also planning on doing the MNSSHP on thurs the 29th…should we also plan another MK day…or since we can be there 4-close is that enough of that park…also i know we will spend 1 whole day at epcot. i think my boys are wanting to take a day and do sea world -- which means i will probably have to not do a park either HS or AK … which one would u eliminate? thanks!

Just know, Sea World tickets will be at least $75 pp (no children's prices), whereas that extra day at Disney will only be $11 pp. If you still decide to do Sea World, will you then have four total days for Disney or 3 days and a partial arrive/depart day. If you only have the 3 plus partial, I think I would still do all four parks. Use your partial day and MNSSHP for MK, go to AK on your MNSHHP day, and that leaves you a day each for EP and HS. You wouldn't even need the park hopper option.

I think 2 days at MK is mandatory. It's very ride-heavy and it's just hard to do everything in a day.

Our first trip was probably 5 days. I intended for us to do all 4 parks, but we ended up just doing MK and EP, and then having one rest day. We added DHS the next year. We tried AK the next year. I personally think MK and EP deserve 2 days each, and that's how we do most trips - then add in whatever we feel like for the leftover days.

If you have to choose between DHS and AK for this trip, I would lean toward DHS with boys.

With as much as there is to at Disney, and only 5 days, I would stick to Disney. As PP pointed out, it's certainly more cost effective.

I would use your MNSSHP day to do an hour or two at AK. If you arrive at opening, you could do the safari, and another ride or two. This would allow you to take a break before heading to the MK. I would save your FP+ for MK and use them between 4 PM and 7 PM. This still will allow you to do two parks in one day with out a park hopper since you have the party ticket. I think you definitely should plan another full day at the MK if you want to experience the whole park, it is hard to do everything on a party night.

Well, kinda. With your party ticket, you'll get 3 FP+s to use, but you can only use them from 4-7 pm. The FP+ system doesn't operate during the parties.

ok -- but still a big bonus that we will get 3 fast passes with just the ticket -- I hadn't even thought about that
