I'm starting to rethink my plan for April 18 & 20th. Originally, I was planning on spending the entire day on Monday (18th) at MK in order to take advantage of Spectromagic and Wishes. Then, spend the 20th (Wed) split between Epcot (a.m.) and MGM (afternoon & evening to see Fantasmic).

I'm hearing SO much about MK being super crowded on Mondays, and the Unofficial Guide recommends exactly the opposite of my plan above, that I'm wondering I'd be better off with the following plan:

Mon: Epcot in morning (be there for official opening at 9am, although it is an EMH morning......so this may not be a good idea?), hop to MGM for the afternoon. Get to MK by 7:30 pm for Spectromagic (9pm) and Wishes (park stays open until midnight, but I don't think we'll stay that long!!!!).

Wed: MK for rope drop then hop to MGM in time to see Fantasmic at 8:30 pm (leave MK by 6:30pm?). This is also an EMH evening at MK.

It seems like a lot of park hopping this way, and since we aren't staying on-site we can't take advantage of the EMH. I guess I'd rather keep my original plan, but if MK is going to be SUPER crowded on Monday, maybe it's worth it to revise as stated above?

Any suggestions?????? Maybe I'm rethinking this too much!!!! :confused3

Since it is not possible to see both SpectroMagic and Wishes on Wednesday, I would stick with your original plan. Yes, MK may be a little more crowded on Monday, but by hopping back and forth and all around the parks, you are putting more strain on yourself than the crowds would.
Be prepared. You know MK may be busier, so show up and get a good seat for the shows early.
We hopped back and forth between parks one day on our last trip, and while we enjoyed everything we did, sometimes it didn't seem like we were seeing what we wanted to because we were having to leave one park early enough to get to the other park, and then sit around and wait for what we were there to see.

Hope that helps a little. :wave2:

Thanks for your advice. I think you are probably right --- hopping takes so much time and effort it probably isn't worth it.

Anyone else have different advice????

I have totally different advice if you stay in one park you wear out too much walking and heat I think a nice monorail ride revives you anyway here is my plan go to MK by 8:30 if they open at 9:00 you will see a nice show with mickey arriving by train to open the park then go do all your favorties head to fanatasy land or adventure land depending if you want splash andf thunder or not if you have little ones do FL then walk the back way into toontown by space MT for 10:00 that when they open you can line up for characters quickly and be done do all favs at that park then finish up by 12:00 grab a quick lunch at noodle station, columbia house or plaza for a more money but nice atmosphere lunch then head by monorail to epcot- a quick 15 minute ride in the AC then do future world, ride earth ride, soarin get Fastpass for TT most people will be headin for the world by then do favs here then have a quick dinner maybe counter service at morocco or japan or mexico or for regular food at electric light then back on monorail to MK hit spectro and wishes it will be crowded so park someone on a curb 50 min before the show. on Wednesday head to MGM because you wont get a lot of shows there if you show up in the afternoon as they stagger them get a schedule online and plan for the show times you want eat a nice lunch at sci fi then hop by boat over to epcot for afternoon to do world (or stay in MGM) then hop back for fantasmic. I thin hoppin is way worth it and the rides can be an event my kids love the boat and monorail we eat a snack on them and relax a bit- 20 minutes sitting is a good thing. I would not go to any park in the morning of an EE day always more crowded but world would probably be ok on WED Plan out the must dos and work around them we love hopping can ya tell! Best easiest hops MK to Epcot/ MGM to Epcot Have a blast! :wizard:
